-->  This Saturday we have a Full Moon in fiery Aries. Last week we reached the Autumn Equinox, the moment where night and day were in equal measure. This marks a turning point in the year, a pause before we start to move inward toward the darker months (in the northern hemisphere).   A Full Moon is the opposition of Moon and Sun, of Yin and Yang, and when in Aries and Libra, it highlights and amplifies the need for balance   represented by the Equinox.   As the Sun moves through Libra (sign of the scales) it calls us to find harmony and balance in our lives, and puts us face to face with the reality of self (Aries) and other (Libra).     In the beginning there was One, one became Two, two became the Many. --> There is a distinct chill in the night air these days and the earlier and earlier sunsets signal immanent seasonal change coming at the Autumn Equinox on Sept 20 th . The resident black squirrel in my back yard is busy digging up all the flowerbeds to store his winter food (much to the chagrin of my housemate) He’s got his Virgo priorities in hand (or paw hehe). Tomorrow ‘s New Moon sets the tone of this next monthly cycle as Sun and Moon sit together at 23 degrees Virgo, joining Mercury, ruler of Virgo. This very concentrated and pure Virgo energy  brings a strong mental focus on whatever intentions we put out at this time. Those wishes or intentions will start to come to fruition at the next Full Moon, like seeds planted in fresh soil. Earth sign Virgo is pragmatic, meticulous, orderly, health conscious, and always of service. A fussy perfectionist, she is also highly self- critical and can be picky to the point of obsession.    It’s Full Moon time again again! .            This one is called a ‘Blue Moon’. Every now and then, there are two Full Moons in the same month. It is even more unusual because it’s the second one in 2012 . No blue colour though… the expression 'once in a blue moon' is used to refer to an event that occurs infrequently. Friday’s Full Moon in Pisces is also kind of special because the ruler of Virgo (Mercury) will be in Virgo and the ruler of Pisces (Neptune) will be in Pisces.   Each sign is amplified by its own ruler residing there. And they are opposite signs. So the strong polarity that already exists at a Full Moon will be even more so at this time. We will be pulled between the logical and mystical poles of our being. Tomorrow is a New Moon in Leo as the Sun and Moon join up in that magnificent sign. On this occasion we all get a chance to shine and dance on center stage! If you haven’t noticed, it’s been a bit of an intense week in the area of personal relationships due to Venus, planet of love moving opposite Pluto (the Destroyer!!) Power struggles and stand offs have been happening under this influence (I can vouch for that… yikes!)   If you have to deal with someone you have issues with, try to be extra diplomatic. Good listening skills help! There’s a stubborn factor created by Mars and Saturn conjunct (together) in Libra   (sign that rules relationships and partnerships) and they were also squared the Moon in Cancer over Monday and Tuesday.   Ouch! If you are nursing an emotional hangover, this New Moon will be the perfect remedy. Just be forewarned that Venus is still opposite Pluto, triggering some deep insecurities around love and power. Before you start I will warn you this is a bit long. I have not had a chance to post for two weeks so am making up for it LOL! There is a Full Moon in Aquarius this Wednesday. Peace and love and brotherhood/sisterhood prevail! Just before that, the Moon, now  in serious and stoic Capricorn, crosses in front of Pluto,  activating the tension of the current squares (difficult aspects)  between Pluto Uranus and Mars. Mars, planet of war,  is also still in the mix, acting like a spark to gasoline, so here's a renewed warning to go slow, pay attention,  and be careful of trigger reactions.  Mars is pulling further and further from this powerful combo so  the sparks will die down a bit by next week. Meanwhile, the Moon is currently  eclipsing Pluto (called an occultation)  bringing hidden emotions to the forefront. Control/power issues abound!! This is a good time to examine our underlying motivations as we trip over old grudges or bits...

Mars, warrior  planet of action, aggression and desire,  is at the beginning of Libra, and now moving full steam ahead after a long time of retrograde motion in Virgo.  It is getting closer and closer to an exact opposition to Pluto the Destroyer.... which in turn is in square( tense) aspect to Uranus, the Awakener. Warning!! This combination is highly combustible and potentially violent. It can produce accidents, extreme tensions and massive flare ups. On top of this Mercury, which rules the mind,  is now moving backward (or so it appears to us on earth) which reverses its energy, causing communication breakdowns and bringing  a bit of chaos to the both the electronic and Internet world. This doesn't mean every email will get lost, but it is more likely at this time.
