Here we are on the last day of a pretty intense year, winding down from yet another powerful Full Moon . Though the world did not end (surprise, surprise),   2012 was indeed a turning point for many, and 2013 will bring more of the same !! (and then some!) We are definitely living in interesting times! In a few days we will celebrate a New Year, 2013!  Can you believe it?   Today’s Full Moon in Cancer is the last Full Moon of 2012!  We have had some doozies this year, and this one is no exception.   After the four day Solstice pause, the Sun is now at 7 degrees Capricorn and about to bump into powerhouse Pluto, just after the Full Moon shines bright in emotional Cancer. With the focus on the Pluto, including the ongoing square to rebellious Uranus, control dramas may surface, along with power plays, petty irritations   and sudden urges to break free  of restrictions.    Passions flare under any Full Moon and these tense aspects could   intensify and add pressure to personal exchanges. Tomorrow is the much-awaited Winter Solstice 2012. End of the Mayan Calendar, Cusp of a New Age.   Though I don’t believe in all the hype, it does seem that this time is a major marker /transition. It heralds the need to move from an old limited paradigm, based on greed and fear and power over, to a new level of consciousness in which things are perceived in different way. Its not going to happen over night, yet each of us can take steps to make it happen in our own selves, then slowly, slowly, in the world around us. This is a seed moment. The transition is to a conscious awareness of who we are, a reconnecting to our cosmic source, so we can align with the highest good and manifest something positive and inclusive in this world.          It’s all a bit intense right now isn’t it?  The energies of the two recent eclipses (solar in Scorpio and lunar in Gemini) are still rippling out into the collective pond as we approach the end of the year and the winter solstice.   There is a deep cleansing and clearing occurring that will allow us to meet the new energy coming in … the purpose of which is to help us create a new way of being in the world. (and thus create a new world) This new world needs to be radically different than what we have up till now created (Pluto in Capricorn). A lot has to change (Uranus in Aries). What is being asked of us is nothing less than death... of our old small self   (Saturn in Scorpio). Which means releasing all that holds us back (Saturn in Scorpio).   This may feel a bit scary. The deep cleansing, triggered by the recent concentration of energy in Scorpio, may have some feeling a bit overwhelmed as old issues rise...
