Solar eclipse in Leo: Let your light shine!

​On August 12, 2026, the Moon will pass directly in front of the Sun, creating one of nature’s most breathtaking sights: a total solar eclipse. 

In astrology an eclipse marks a majour shift where something is taken away to make room for new energy to  come in. This happens every year and progresses through the  signs ~  showing our collective evolution through the zodiac wheel. 

This eclipse at 20 degrees Leo is about personal sovereignty that is rooted in emotional intelligence (Moon) rather than ego identification (Sun) and opens the way for a new period of  creativity, joy, and confidence by encouraging us to tap into  what excites us. 

The nodes of the Moon (meeting point of the Earth, Moon and Suns orbits)  represent our evolutionary direction from past (south node) to future (north node). Eclipses open a portal that ushers in powerful new beginnings in the signs involved.

These points of fate have just recently slipped into Aquarius (North Node)  and Leo (South Node) and  represent a push toward integrating our need for attention and recognition (Leo SN) with our need to serve the greater community (Aquarius NN) . 

The area of our chart this eclipse occurs in will show more specifically where we need to release old ego based patterns so that  we can all work together toward a collective awakening.

With the Sun eclipsed/blocked, our feeling body (Moon) is activated ~ and in Leo that brings up past patterns of feeling invalidated or unseen. 

Leo rules the heart and the Moon represents our emotional patterns ~ so we will  have to feel our way there.
