Capricorn Full Moon: Two steps forward, One step back

The Summer Solstice came and went. Three days of the Sun at its highest point in the sky and now the descent has begun as the circles and cycles of life continue.

The Summer Solstice  activated the rare Saturn (matter) Neptune (spirit) conjunct that occurred on the Aries Point/World Point just befoe the Spring equinox...and these strange bedfellows continue to wrench and warp reality in new ways. I might come back to that another time as its highly significant.

Meanwhile, on Monday, June 29, we had a Full Moon in Capricorn, and the same day  Mercury turned retrograde in the sign of Cancer, plus a whole lot of other signifcant aspects as well. Mars just entered Gemini three days ago, Chiron has shifted into Taurus  and  Jupiter has just began a one year journey through the sign of Leo. That is a LOT of shifting energy all at once, and even more to come!

Are we having fun yet?!!

The  Full Moon in Capricorn may have stirred up some hard emotions, accompanied by the Capricorn tendency is to shove it all back down. Saturn was in tension with both Moon and Sun, and the planet of karma is known as a hard taskmaster.

Whenever things show up in 3's in a chart, I know to pay special attention. Moon in Capricorn (1)  is ruled by Saturn(2)  squared the Full Moon, plus a square is a Saturnian (ie difficult) aspect (3).

Sharp angles between planets force us to make adjustments, and  Saturn is the planet of karmic challenges and obstacles (life lessons).  On top of that, Mercury turned retrograde the same day as the Full Moon.

There's a strong possibility that our plans may not turn out the way we expected, which isnt always a bad thing depending on what we were expecting lol. There is challenge from  Neptune, the planet of obfuscation and surrender.

“Blessed is s/he who expects nothing, for s/he shall never be disappointed.”
Alexander Pope

Capricorns are well known for their determined self-control, stoicism and ability to endure, and their intense drive to succeed contains a significant edge.  Although the Full Moon has passed, we still have Saturn’s influence holding onto that armour and keeping us feeling both driven and uptight.

Over the next few days, let the Sun in sensitive Cancer soften those edges so you can get the job done without causing harm to yourself or other others. Feel the feels.

Buffalo recently showed up during  a drum journey -  a powerful symbol  similar to the traditional Capricorn symbol of the mountain goat, in that both represent strength and determination in the face of challenges or obstacles.  We may be required to make necessary choices and adjustments as we face  certain duties, plans, and obligations.

“The buffalo is most commonly associated with strength. Its large body and powerful presence naturally symbolize physical and emotional power. Spiritually, buffalo energy encourages people to remain strong when facing challenges. It represents the ability to survive difficult situations without losing stability or dignity.

So if you have to dig yourself out of a hole, this Full Moon energy could help. Or - it could push you into one!!

The overall message seems to be to persever in the face of abstacles, while taking time to slow down, reflect, review to avid future mistakes. One step forward, two steps back, we will get there in the end.

Following the intense frequency of the Full Moon ~  coming week is extremely loaded and volitile; explosive reactions are par for the course, with Mercury retrograde adding chaos and confusion. Some wil be feeling upended and turned around as the ground shakes and the earth quakes (literally).

Good time to keep your head down and your heart open as you focus on healthy outlet for building tensions. Martial arts like Taekwondo or even Tai Chi (gentle yet powerful) can help move the energy, along with drumming, dancing etc; anything that helps channel this intensity in a positive way. If you want to punch someone, punch a wall instead (although that might hurt!) Best to puch a pillow instead lol ~ though perhaps not quite as satisfying.

I am dealing with a fraudulent amazon order and very frsutrated by their efforts to obfuscate and avoid giving me my refund. It's getting me pretty pi**d off... so I can totally relate to this energy. Also gives the determination to push through obstacles ~ so there's that!
With the Sun squared both Neptune and Saturn - frustration (Saturn) combines with lack of clarity or even outright deception (Neptune). Watch your step. Watch your back.
Planets involved: Moon /Pluto opposite Jupiter/Mercury, Mars/Uranus, Sun, Neptune, Saturn (in detriment - means doesnt work well in Aries), Mercury retrograde. Eek!

Fierce determination, combined with zen detachment, is the way to go.

Of course all that pales in comparison to the thousands of people affected directly by recent earthquakes in  Venzuala. I can't even imagine.  The fierce determination and intensity of Mars/Uranus/Pluto  etc is in full effect - all about life/ death and survival. Life is both precious ... and precarious. What to say... :(

Time to reflect...
Mercury retrograde invites us to examine our thinking and its emotional roots (Cancer = home, family, mother/father). Time to reflect on what we know (or think we know) and how we came to know it.
Moon/Chiron/Mercury/Jupiter reflect a strange mix of energies scrambling our thought waves.... and revealing a kind of prison with no walls = the 'system' of beliefs or rules that are handined down to us that create cognative bias and cenpeptual  prisons in terms of who we are and what is possible.

This very interesting examination of the Truman Show is a very errudite and insightful reminder of the mental constructs we are held within (or perhaps you have broken free?

Mars newly in Gemini will ramp up the monkey mind and its first conact is Uranus - the awakener. That should be interesting. Too much to say, too little time!!

May your days be peaceful and filled with light.
And if not, may you find the strength to carry on!
