Full Moon Gemini

                                         

Welcome to the Full Moon magic of  Gemini. 

This Super Full Moon (closer to earth ~ so a stronger magnetic field)   peaks on December 4th and was already looking quite Full tonight ~ and rather magnificent ~  so be sure to go out and have a howl.  I'm down with a virus of some sort - so this post may be rather brief.  Then again ~  it is a Gemini Moon  (likes to talk lol).  Gemini is linked to Mercury ~ the planet of thinking and communicating ~ and the Sun opposite in Sagittarius  is also a big thinker (its ruler Jupiter is the biggest planet) and on an even  grander scale (high education, philosophy, law etc). Sagittarius is about the big ideas and Gemini is about all the day to day thinking ... so our minds may be whirling and twirling right now.   With both luminaries involving ideas and how we express them ~ talking and information sharing is on the menu for this Full Moon.  And in that spirit ~ I suspect this post is going to be a bit longer than I originally thought. You might want to make yourself a cuppa tea lol.

                                                                     

I was thinking today (!) that if this current virus I've got were being hyped in the media like covid was - I'd be in quarantine right now. I had to go out last night and wasn't sure if I should. I was feeling much better at the end of the day, so off I went, but I did wonder if I  should wear a mask. Hard to decide with no one to tell you what to do!! 

I have had a compromized immune system for some time, so  actually appreciated the distancing rules and masks etc at the time of CV 19.  While not overly fond of masks, I felt the need to protect myself. I like a lot of personal space  anyway ~ so I enjoyed the 6 feet rule (or whatever it was). I did not however appreciate the mandates because they were based on a top down edict (and a lot of lies and misinformation). My body my choice ... (and turns out the shots didn't stop the spread after all - so theres that) Meanwhile,  most people really weren't acting on their own volition; just a lot of media based fear mixed in with a few supposed facts.  All that is gone now,  and I find it interesting to see how most have reverted to old habits. I have been at meetings and gatherings lately where someone is hacking and coughing  and not really considering that they may be spreadingh something.  And no one seems to care.  I wondered out loud if I should be wearing a mask and  a friend replied  "dont worry pretty much everyone has been exposed ~ its going around the whole city..." 

                                                                
That got me thinking...(ha) about how different attitudes are now. It seems very common sense actually that these things go around and some will get  ill and others barely at all. So protect the most vulnerable and let the rest develop immunity (like Sweden did).  Personally I  believe early treatment is key (plus building a healthy immune system)  I went down a lot of rabbit holes when I first got covid - and learned some good holistic tricks for preventing serious complications. I managed to recover from long covid and made it though several varients  fairly unscathed,  eccept for some lingering fatigue. Overall I'm better than ever now, even with this current lurgy. 

 Ok - I didnt plan to go into all that.  Please dont take this as trying to push a particualr point of view ~  I'm in Gemini mode ~ just sharing. The point is that all of this got me thinking about attidues and social programming and how so much of what we think and believe has been handed down to us.  I am not saying I know the ultimate truth in any of this ~ in fact just the opposite ~ the Gemini part of me remains ever curious.   I just can't help noticing that with no one blaring out constant warnings and fear  ~ its back to normal flu season (which mysteriously disappeared the year Covid began).  It's all very strange. What I have learned is that we can all have  different points of view influenced by many different factors and it is important to be aware of our own biases. Even what we call science is not impermeable to bias (or corruption) and needs to be rooted in constant questioning (rather than orthodoxy). 

So thats one bit of insight for this Gemini Full Moon : Question everything. Don't assume we know something just because we read it on the news. There are so many forces seeking to control, influence, and manipulate what we consume in the media  ~ and therefore what we know (or think we know) and how we think ~ and growing AI only promises the madness will increase. 

                                                                    

The most critical aspect of this  Full Moon in Gemini is around how much we think for ourselves and how much we let others tell us what to think.  Mercury ~ ruler of this Full Moon ~ has just returned to forward motion after dipping backwards into Scorpio, the sign of shadows and secrets. Mercury here acts like super sleuth, digging up information and seeking what has been hidden or suppressed.  Gemini is very curious and open by nature, while Scorpio tends to be more wary and guarded...and  this Scorpio  influence could add a layer of subterfuge or wariness to what would otherwise be very open communications. Luckily the Sun in Sagittarius is a more of an open book, a life long learner who is  also a  judge and a philospher ~  seeking justice, myth and meaning to fuel this grand adverture of life. Let's keep those conversations interesting. 

Both Gemini and Sagittarius are storytellers par excelleance. Sagittarius is  looking for the BIG stories (the one that got away?) while Gemini is endlessly curious about what is going on all around them. We may feel more open to  diverse points of view, and the twins symbol for Gemini tells us every story has at least  two sides. Due to this proclivity, Geminis change thier mind rather frequently. What they said yesterday is no longer valid ~ do keep up! (a certain current president is a Gemini- with Moon in Sagittarius ~ thus a majour story teller who bends the truth(square to Neptune) and  does seem to change his mind quite frquently). 

Nonetheles,, a good story is a good story. We  have the makings of a  novel here ~ some secrets (Scorpio) some power plays (Scorpio's ruler is Pluto)  ~ social unrest (Pluto in Aquarius  =  power to the people)  the advice to to step back and see the bigger picture (Sun in Sag) and a warning to keep an eye out for hidden agendas (Scorpio). The Sun is also being bookended by Mars (masc) and Venus (fem) ~ so  intrigues may play out around romantic or sexual exploits, affecting interpersonal exchanges in general. Clear and honest communication is imperitive.  When we keep secrets,  we close off a part of ourself.

          

 Meanwhile, Neptune  continues to blur the lines of reality (Saturn) ~ so it can be hard to decipher what is real.   Pluto in Aqaurius also brings us AI (Aqaurius rules technology) and issues around its taking over   everything (for examply if you google something now,  AI steps in). There are lots of warnings about losing our privacy even more than we already have,  as AI scans all our emails (Scorpio is about privacy). So  we have  a gothic tale of sex, lies, and video tapes, of  power and communication and the need to step back and see the forest for the trees. Yet Gemini is the trees, so plurality is important. 

It's complicated. 

Today's Full Moon also highlights the choices we make ~ within the context of our belief systems ~ with questions around how we create those belief systems and how we make  choices, and why.   It also asks us to think before we speak. Listening is a good skill to develop. Sagittarius must always speak to the highest truth.. yet untangling the truth from the illusion  is very tricky at this time of fake videos and fake news. And we are going to see even more of that kind of thing... as well as many other deep fakes. Every time I see a pop up video now I  wonder if it is AI or not. Not saying there isnt a use for Artificial Intenlligence ~ yet the clue is in the name: 'Artificial'. Lets not trade our ability to think for easy information. 

 In the spirit of this discussion I've added an AI summary at the end of this post. I could have just posted that alone ~ saved myself a lot of work ~  though then I would lose the pleasure of writing and creating.
