New Moon opposite Uranus the awakener: Expect the unexpected!

 Hello- it's been a while since my laptop crashed and burned. I've tried using an app on my phone but that didn't work very well (at all),  so I've not bothered (much).  Now I've got a new functioning laptop ~hurray!  Here's to new beginnings and new endeavours.

Which fits with tonights theme ~ a New Moon in the late degrees of Scorpio ~ with Uranus (the awakener) sitting opposite ~ bringing us changes and awakenings,  including the urge to rebel as revolutionary vibes sweep us away, or perhaps surprising revelations will shift our direction at a moments notice.  Who knows the way the wind blows!

 Uranus acts like a lightning bolt ~ and in Taurus shakes our feelings of safety, security and stability (and disrupts our finances (for good or ill). This high voltage planet has the potential to shake up and wake up.  I had a peek at financial markets and they are currently being labelled  'extreme fear and greed'.  Yikes. 

When things destabilize, people panic and that sets off a whole lot more instability. Actually,   I am surprised things haven't compelety crashed before now with Uranus in and out of Taurus over the last few years. But what do I know?! I am not a money person, so I can't say much more,  except keep your eyes on the markets.  Uranus rearranges whatever territory it moves through, and at the last critical degree of Taurus ~ opposite Sun Moon (New Moon) and Mercury ~ surprises may be  in store. 

 I am not forecasting anything~ I am actually very wary of predictons in general ~ there are miriad outcomes for every influence.  Yet there are themes... and that's what I can write about. This blog is more educational than predictive ~ a general weather report. Lets see what happens. Having said that, erst assured, with Uranus retrograde, and opposite this New Moon, something will be turned on its head.  Yet whatever that may be ~ it will likely correct itself when Uranus turns direct in early Feb 2026.

Uranus  shakes us up to wake us up. It is currently moving in  a beautiful fluidity (120 degrees)  with Pluto - its fellow revolutionary. In the 60s they came together to plant seeds of revolution. When they were squared  (2012) they were breaking things down ~ now in trine, they are building a new future. Seeds that were planted back then are beginning to sprout ~ as we enter the new age. There IS  hope for a better day ahead--- somewhere, somehow.  Someday!

However ~ as I said ~ I do not believe in predictions. So what am I even writing an astrology  blog? To educate mostly ...  and its fun. Looking at the Astro weather is a great way to understand how the planets affect us. I just never assume anything ~ its just fun to work out the theme and see where it is afecting my own life.

Which is perfect for a New Moon opposite Uranus  ~  expect the unexpected. I have already had several surprises today. 

Meanwhile, Sun, Moon and Mercury all together in Scorpio  have us deep diving ~ all the better to see the underbelly of the beast. What beast you ask? The beast of fortune ~ that changible force  that swings to and fro, up and down,  showing us how cyclical  and changeable life is. 

Spin the wheel and let it go ~ where it lands, nobody knows!

 

And Mercury (planet of communication) is retrograde, so things are a bit topsy turvy and all bets are off.  Try to be patient as you wait for things to right themselves, and use this time  to review and reflect and get a good look at the what lies below the surface. Scorpio is the sign if birth, death and regeneration ~ it rules the root chakra (sex and survival)  ~  and it's symbols are a snake shedding its skin and the phoenix who dives ino the fire and rises again from the ashes; also the eagle ~ giving us clear vision. This is our resilience, our fortitude, our ability to persevere in the face of all odds. Scorpio invented perseverence lol!

So ~ if somewhere on the planet, or in your life, secrets are stirring, rats are scurrying, people are worrying, winds are blurring (reality):  Fear not. Let the winds of change blow away the cobwebs from your eyes, free you from your fear and and help you toward the direction you need to go. That may be different from whaty ou had planned. No worries.  Uranus is bringing us gifts, surprises and syncronicity, with plenty of aha moments to help us  see beyond the veil and help us understand  the mysteries of life. 

Don't forget ~ Uranus liberates! 

And Mercury is called cazimi- aligned with the Sun so that energy is deeply affecting this New Moon as well. When the planet of communication is  “in the heart of the  Sun” it offers a moment of clarity amidst the storm, the eye of the hurricane, when all is calm in the idst of the drama , and the fact that this is  coinciding with the New Moon offers a moment of calrity around whatever has been confusing during previous weeks ~ epiphanies may come! Time to break out of old patterns and find new perspectives. Our sense of security may be threatened , Scorpio (Sun/Moon)  is all about survival, while Taurus is about comfort and security (including money) ~ and right now  Uranus is shaking the tree. Yet rather than be scared, be excited. Something new is approaching (hopefully not an oncoming train hehe). (Ya gotta have a sense of humour! )

This is a time of awakening.

 

ps. There's a beautiful grand trine formation and a kite signature as well- these  highly auspicious markers offer fluidity and turnsof fate  in the midst of the madness.  These are positive energy signatures  ~  Let me know how it goes.  Use this New Moon to ask for deeper insight into whatever is feeling uncertain. Let it lift you and inspire you... as it shines a  bright light of higher consciousness into those shadowy corners of your mind.  (ie  hidden fears and obsessions (Scorpio).
