New Moon in Taurus

 The Moon with Chiron in Aries yesterday had the potential of bringing up old wounds for healing. Today the Taurus New Moon opens a door to new beginnings.

This New Moon is highly volatile with tense links between Sun Mars and Pluto. Mars/ Pluto can be violent rage, war, power dynamics, control dramas.

This earthy sign of Taurus is the sign of the Bull ~ stubborn yet steady, trustworthy and always ready to lend a  hand. Taurus grounds us to the earth and brings out the practical, and also stirs up our sensual side and a strong urge for creature comforts. Wine, wo/men and song!

 

 And nature. This is the earth mother. Taurus is ruled by Venus, goddess of love ~ who is currently  linking to the North Node Destiny Point,  along with Saturn, planet of lessons, restrictions and karma. With both together on Collective Destiny Point (north node of moon) in Pisces ~  our karmic destiny is calling us to unity consciousness. Saturn here can block our faith in the universe and signifies the many losses in the recent months. This gathering contains some painful lessons and warns that we can no longer do the same thing is the same old way.

 

Yet this New Moon also speaks to New Beginnings ~ and brings turning points in our relationships and/or our finances. Venus reminds us to love and with Neptune ~ calls us to a higher love.

Neptune  in Aires bring us new dreams and new possibilities. Its closeness to both Venus and Saturn softens Saturn's blow and activates our care and compassion. Relationships (Venus) are our mirrors ~ what we see in others is often a reflection of our own inner issues. Relationships can be challenging ~ yet they are also our greatest gift. We all need each other. We are all in this together. And yet- as already mentioned- there are losses. Saturn is equated to death and endings - and ironically, to long terms commitments. This is a shit or get off the pot moment!

 

In astrology, Saturn represents the material, the concrete, and the structure of time itself. With Saturn on the Collective Destiny point in a floaty sign like Pisces ~ it can sometimes feel like time and reality are morphing or collapsing. I call it slippage ~ as we slip between timelines.  Both Philosophers and physicists say that time is an illusion.  Metaphysics and eastern spirituality describe this world as a dream, an illusion. Pisces represents those spirit realms, the non-material, the ethereal ~  and links us to unity consciousness. The forever now. 

 

The message here is that a universal connection (Neptune) to  love (Venus)  is our karmic destiny (Saturn/North Node in Pisces) Yet we have to live here! Saturn on this critical marker  describes a karmic turning point ~ a coming of age ~ a maturing. With Venus, that karma is playing out in our relationships. Or in the stock market!! Whats goes up must go down(and vice versa)! You can blame the agents of change all you want yet this is the karmic Destiny Point ~ a point of growth. What can we learn from it all? 

 

Saturn in Pisces forces us to get real and face reality. No fantasies or illusions. Come down to earth. 

Yet that begs the question ~ what is truly real? What is temporary(Saturn) and what is everlasting (Neptune). 

 

So prepare for a breakthrough. Get grounded and plant your seeds of intention ~   then watch them grow.

Right now Mars/Pluto is causing knee jerk to provocation ~  and is being amplified by the Sun/Moon conjunction (New Moon). This is an intense combination. Mars is action/anger/aggression and Pluto is power and control,  and when in tension they can trigger violent rage and/or be extremely destructive.
