Full Moon Partial eclipse

Neptune ~ the planet of dreams and illusions ~ dominates tonight’s Full Moon/partial lunar eclipse (opposite Sun, conjunct Moon). This ethereal planet dissolves ‘reality’ and in so doing, carries us into a realm where nothing feels solid.

While this may be hard on the ego ~ it offers us a new vision ~ and a new possibility ~ opening the portal to unity consciousness ~ to all that is.

Neptune in Pisces has the potential to sweep us away on waves of mystical bliss ~ we can dive deep into madness or meditation ~ so beware of the increased need to stay grounded. Alcohol or drugs can contribute to the unreality. Your choice.

A grand trine in earth signs plus Saturn in Pisces will help us to keep it real ~ feet on the ground. But perhaps you prefer floating away in Bliss! Creative expressions will be off the map.

Addiction is another side effect: I binged watched six episodes of a new show on Netflix last night! It was a romantic drama ~ perfect as Venus opposite Chiron Activates Wounds to Self ~ Wounds to Love. Som will be feeling a deep ache and longing to go home ~ while not being so sure where home is .We are forever wanting something we think we can never have. Rumi suggests that home we are looking for is already inside of us. “What you seek is seeking you”

As we uncover these deep psychic wounds ~ profound healing can occur. Trust the process, even as you step into the unknown.

Eclipses are turning points ~ and the letting go required may not be without pain (no pain/no gain?) I’ve actually always hated that saying because it seems to suggest something noble about suffering. And fact, this may be about facing our addiction to pain and suffering (Chiron).

Yet, the nature of this imperfect world is that suffering does exist, and as we enter the eclipse portal over the next two weeks ~ things could get uncomfortable ~ as whatever is needing to be released comes to the surface. This is a time to grow up and claim your power even as your illusions get popped.

Eclipses mark endings and new beginnings… forks in the road, turning points. With Venus (love, relationships) being impacted by both Chiron (wounds/suffering/healing) and Pluto (death/transformation) some of us will be experiencing seismic shifts in our relationships. And as Neptune and Pisces is a dissolver, some relationships may be slipping away, or, perhaps it is your suffering that may be dissolving into a new way of being.

As the pendulum swings between chaos and control ~ life is going to force us to get real about whatever needs letting go of. I feel like I’m always saying that is in these blog posts. I think that’s been the general theme for a couple of years now, and especially at eclipses the key is to see where the eclipse lands in your chart to figure out where some sort of change is required.

I am visiting a place right now where I used to live many years ago~ a beautiful island off the West Coast of Canada where I ended up living after a divorce followed by a car accident. Even though a part of me have loved to stay here forever ~ it’s also very clear to me that I live where I do for a reason ~ and that fantasy is different than reality. I came here to lick my wounds and a subsequent illness begin the long deep dive and healing crisis that I am only now emerging from. There have been many ups and downs along the way and it’s interesting being back here, reflecting on it all from the other side of the rainbow.

As I reflect on those old trauma/wounds to the self ~ I can see now that those deep losses changed the trajectory of my life ~ and are part of who I am today.

Even though there may be some pain or discomfort that occurs during the healing process, it’s part of the cleansing and purification that comes before the solar eclipse in two weeks ushers in a new beginning.

Trust and surrender are the themes of the day.

Ultimately, this Pisces Full Moon eclipse is going to be piercing our illusions ~ or feeding them. We get to choose.
