New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries: Here we go!

A powerful New Moon/Solar eclipse occurs tonight on the last, critical degree of the fiery sign of Aries, bringing a second New Moon in Aries, the sign of initiation and change. This Aries eclipse marks a time of acceleration, new beginnings, possible endings. This seed time contains a powerful thrust toward manifesting intentions; just know that there will be unexpected outcomes, no matter what we wish for.

Tonight's eclipse is very intense ~  due to Pluto being at right angle to the nodes of the Moon (called the bending). Planets on the bending are a critical factor in an eclipse… and show something that needs to be integrated and released.  Pluto (the destroyer) ~ brings revolutionary change, and also represents power and control issues that often get triggered when we are caught up in surviving vs thriving. A strong Mars (masculine) and Venus (feminine) (rulers of the nodes of the Moon) influence means  this eclipse can put relationships through some major shake ups. Pluto is also connected to the Tower card in Tarot-representing the ego death that makes way for higher consciousness.

On its own, Aries is about the self- how we go into the world with both impatience and initiative.  This eclipse/New Moon here clears the way for new beginnings. Time for a new strategy?

Jupiter nearby adds courage. 'Cour' means heart ~ trust your heart to guide you through the storm. Aries gives us the impetus to move forward with optimism, even if it feels a bit scary. If you've been dragging your heels on something, this is the signal that it is time to move forward.

 

We are always shifting and growing ~ and as we make our way through life ~ change is a given. Eclipses accelerate change ~ especially when in Aries (first sign of the zodiac) and accompanied by Pluto ~ the transformer. As Pluto strips us down to make way for new growth, radical changes bring both gifts and challenges. If you’ve been struggling to break free of some old habit or pattern, this could be just the push you need.
