Full Moon eclipse in Taurus ~ Something's gotta give!

Solar eclipse Oct 25 ~ Full Moon Lunar eclipse Tuesday Nov 8th

 We’ve been moving through the eclipse portal that began October 25 with a partial solar eclipse on the south node of the Moon in Scorpio, and which ends with today's Full Moon eclipse in Taurus. Scorpio is about birth, death, transformation, rules the root chakra and is linked to survival energy. Scorpio is the realm of the deep subconscious - perhaps why so many shy away from Scorpio energy. This is the shadow realm.

We progress from the South Node to the North node - called Destiny Points or karmic gateways. The South Node represents the past, and the North Node the future. The Scorpio solar eclipse was about the need for some sort of ending or release - to make a way for new energies coming in. It suggested a symbolic death or loss - one more layer to remove, a skin to be shed. I know my last post was perhaps a bit heavy - I was writing from within the shadows - and definitely having to sit with it (not always so easy)... like being in a sweat lodge - the only way to handle the heat is to lean into it - let it transform you.  Yes I've been shaking in my boots - but also blessed with breakthroughs, insights and messages (so very grateful to the healing practitioners in my life that have held space for my journey) ... ever to rise again.

Others have been commenting on how intense things are, although of course not everyone will feel it the same. There are always those who sail through life oblivious of all the drama and trauma lol. More power to you! For those of us in the midst of it- in the northern hemisphere we are preparing for the coming darkness, and survival fears can arise - even in our oh-so-comfortable western lifestyles (although these days its not quite so comfortable). These fears are mostly buried in the subconscious realms - leftovers from a time when getting through the winter was a serious challenge and not everyone made it through alive. Halloween, Samhain, Day of the Dead were all celebrated at this time of year; ancient cultures more adept at claiming these powerful forces through rituals and music and offerings than we in our modern times. Psychologist Carl Jung suggests those survival fears have not gone away at all, they have merely gone underground, and because of that, have even more power over us. Anxiety, depression, psychosis etc are all modern ailments arising from our disconnect from nature and her cycles, resulting in separation from our bodies, our soul life, source energy, the celestial realms. Its time we get out our drums and connect back into the rhythm of life!

The Full Moon eclipse in Taurus says it time to move from surviving to thriving.

Taurus is the earth, our money, our creature comforts, our personal values.  Both Scorpio and Taurus speak to a primal need for security and safety.Taurus is slow and stubborn, plodding and persistent and loyal to a fault. Yet at this time even Taurus is feeling rather restless and unsettled. Change is in the air.

Eclipses mark powerful shifts/turning points - they take us on a journey into the underworld and back again. The path - or portal - between two eclipses involves a letting go (South Node) to make way for the new energy that wants to come in (North Node). An eclipse on the south node  tells us what needs to be released  ~ and the North Node Destiny Point shows where we’re heading. Uranus' proximity to the North node and thus this  eclipse -  amps up the frequency with unexpected changes, surprises and aha moments. Uranus is the higher mind,  our intuition, our antenna to the stars. The area of your chart the eclipse occurs in will tell you more about where some sort of shift or message may be coming your way (find a free chart online and see 'houses' above in 'pages'). I suspect you've already been feeling it.

Venus also sits close to both eclipses,  telling us that our relationships, our money and our values may go through some sort of adjustment. Choices are being made, bringing both losses and gains. If you have planets or angles at mid Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, you will really feel this eclipse energy reverberating in your life. Something or someone new may be coming towards you ~ or someone may be leaving (the same could apply to your money!) or has already left.  We win some ~ we lose some.  One door closes -another one opens.

Life's great adventure beckons us forward.

 Mercury (communication) is here too - bringing unexpected news or information... and with Scorpio on the south node - secrets may be revealed. Communications are more serious;  we must work to reach common ground.

Overall, this eclipse wants us to move beyond surviving - to thriving, and starts the process by throwing everything up in the air. Scorpio has been peeling away the layers, hopefully we are ready the welcome the new (ha). The eclipse energy will ripple out for many months, if you can go out and look at the Blood Moon eclipse it will mark this day as the day that everything changed. A year from now we may look back and shake our head at how far we have come(hopefully forward though nothing is certain in these unsettling times) . Sometimes we will experience an external change, other times it will show up as more of a shift in perspective, as new information brings new insights and help us re-frame old situations. Remember that whatever is leaving - is making room for something even better.

And- there are going to be some obstacles (of course). Saturn at right angles to both Moon and Sun bringing hesitation, restrictions, blockages... resistance. Saturn is the planet of responsibility and karma. It suggests there is work to be done before we can claim the gifts Uranus is offering. A need to grieve what is ending.Today Venus was exactly squared to Saturn, a signature of tough love and loss. Feeling denied or shut out. Relationships that require we work at them. Loss or limits around of money. Saturn in Aquarius can represent the social control and restrictions of the past few years; there's a need for sorting out our true values vs going along with the crowd. Hopefully this means restrictions will be decreasing rather than increasing, but you never know with such wild card energy involved.

 A lightning bolt from Uranus can change everything -  our  relationships ~ our money ~ our relationship ‘to’ money ~ all may be getting a big shake up/wake up!

Expect the unexpected.

This unsettling dynamic is rather inimical (unfriendly; unfavorable) to slow, solid, comfort loving Taurus. There may be conflict between what we want and what we need.  So for instance, this may represent the global shift to digital currencies, and the attempts at control of the same by banking cartels and governments etc.
Saturn also grounds and provides structure. If your investments or commitments are undergoing change ~ Saturn can help you find new perspectives to work through the obstacles and find better solutions.

Just remember that this is highly reactive unstable energy - these trans-personal energies are much larger than us. Some will feel excited, restless, or have a hard time sleeping. Stay grounded as much as you can.

p.s. Interesting day to hold an election! (US midterms). I suspect the next few weeks are going to be very, very interesting (and also highly unsettling). The old vs the new. One way or another, somethings gotta give!.

The past, the present and and the future walked into a bar.

It was tense : )

(Hint: Saturn = Past, Eclipse/Sun, Moon = Present, Uranus = Future

Ps... Hope springs eternal. Jupiter is moving back towards Neptune in Pisces - bringing expansive, blissful JOY. Focus on that!

Happy Full Moon. May your life be filled with abundance and joy.

 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me
