Autumn Equinox ~ New Moon in Libra: All you Need is Love

I'm going to make this short and sweet.

The Sun has just crossed over into Libra - marking the half way point of the zodiac, as well as the beginning of Autumn. In the Northern hemisphere where I write from, the days will be getting shorter and the nights longer and cooler. You can already feel it in the air and see the colours changing. Before we set our intentions at this New Moon in Libra, take a moment to pause and reflect. How has it been for you this year so far?

The New Moon is ruled by Venus . . . ruler of Libra and planet of Love. Venus sitting right beside both Moon and Sun adds a gentle yet powerful aura of love and harmony, while Jupiter, always ready to find a reason to celebrate,  magnifies this New Moon moment.

This wonderful energetic blast may feel surprising as it occurs in the midst of some fairly restrained energy. Like a rocket going off on a foggy day, we can hear it and feel it yet perhaps we cant quite see it.  7 planets are retrograde,  including Mercury - so things are slowed down and turned inward; even Mars will also be retrograde soon.

A New Moon  so close after the equinox not only points to the need for balance at this key turning point in the year,  it also brings a needed reset. New Moons are a seed time; the start of a new cycle,  and that goes well with  all of our reviewing, reflecting, resetting, renewing - and  re-visioning, courtesy of Neptune, the dreamer. This highly creative energy can provide inspiration for whatever comes next. Take some time to feel into it and vision what you want to create in this last quarter of the calendar year.

There are some restrictions coming- thanks to Saturn. I will write about that next time. And the New Moon also comes with a warning - that what we think is real - may not be. Neptune opposite the Sun (self) Moon (emotions) and Venus (love) amplifies a deep longing; the dream of finding “true love” … as well as the disappointment that inevitably occurs in that pursuit.  Perhaps we will discover that the 'Love' we are seeking is already inside of us ~ in which case we will see it reflected everywhere we go.

There is always magic if we know where to look for it.  Meanwhile, Mercury retrograde has just moved back into Virgo ~ offering us clarity and discernment ~ so all is not lost. And Jupiter will soon retrograde back into Pisces, with Venus opposite to remind us that who we are is Love. Corny I know - yet is the actual truth. Just look at a baby to see a mirror of your own essence. My daughter recently gave birth to a baby girl - who I got to meet over the summer. Every time I look at her she melts my heart. No one has taught her yet that she isn't the most precious of beings.

This isn't her ~ but it could be.  All babies are full of joy. THAT is who we are!

I'm going to leave it there for now. This New Moon says celebrate Love. Celebrate existence. Celebrate you!

You know you want to ;)
