New Moon Eclipse in Taurus: The New Earth

 

Today's New Moon in Taurus is ruled by the planet Venus ~ Goddess of LOVE. 

 

Venus with  Neptune is Spiritual love. 

Venus with Jupiter is joyful expansive love. 

Together in Pisces they bring  Beautiful, Sublime,  Divine Love (beyond description)

 

Do what you love.

Love what you do!

Love the one you're with.

To thine own self be true!

 

This is also a Solar eclipse, with Uranus the Awakener nearby.

Seeds of change are being planted now for:

An unexpected awakening. 

Heightened awareness. 

Psychic attunement.

New understanding of what has been holding you back. 

Release of what has been holding you back.

Profound inner wakening.

Shift or get off the pot.  

 

The partial solar eclipse occurred (April 30) earlier today over parts of South America, Antarctica and the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. As the Sun and Moon aligned with Uranus the Awakener, sudden shifts, changes, aha moments may occur. A New Moon is a seed time ~ its effects will ripple out for months to come. This is the perfect time to plant your seeds of intention and watch them grow! 

 

                                       

Taurus grounds and focuses us on our senses, our values, our creature comforts and the need for physical self care; it speaks to a sense of abundance and appreciation for all living things: what the Indigenous peoples call  'All my Relations'.  Mother Earth is pregnant with possibility.  Start by tilling the soil and clearing  away all that impedes growth. Rocks and roots, sticks n stones; the eclipse energy will help us to shift and remove whatever stands in our way.

 

There is work to be done. This is is a good time for ritual -  invite the new energy into your life in a conscious manner. Plant actual seeds in a sacred ritual. Throw some over your shoulder to represent what you are letting go of. Prepare special food (whatever has meaning to you). A sacred coccao ceremony would be very appropriate. Walk barefoot on the earth,  feel her power move through you. And most of all, listen closely to your inner whispers; intuition is very high at this time. So is our creativity.

 

Reach for the stars ~  feet planted firmly on the earth.

This  high frequency blast will be balanced and grounded by the earthbound fixity of Taurus. The sign of the Bull is stubborn and steadfast, it's need for safety and security means Taurus prefers the tried and true to sudden change.  Yet change is in the air and  that can feel risky to Taurus, there's a sense that something is about to destabilize or shake us up at any moment.  Look to the area where the Sun and Moon are passing through to see where some sort of unusual activity or sudden inspiration could occur  - with the usual caveat that these effects will be most impactful where there are personal planets close by  (eclipse New Moon is at 10 degrees Taurus).

If  the eclipse is in your 1st house this could affect your body, or your appearance in some way. Jupiter can cause some people to gain weight.  

In the 2nd house of money, you could get unexpected news about your finances, either for good or for ill. Jupiter suggests it will be good news, is protective etc, yet also amplifies whatever it crosses, so it could amplify the shock value of this eclipse.  Neptune can make things dissolve or disappear.  

The 3rd house is communications, siblings and our immediate environment- new ideas could arise.

4th house is the home, sudden changes to your home?

5th house is children, creativity, lovers,  play. Be spontaneous.

6th house is health and details of work, Pat attention to your health and digestion.

7th house is relationships. Unusual encounters?

8th house is death, sex and shared resources (wills, taxes etc).   

9th house is travel, foreign cultures,  higher learning and spiritual insight,   

10th house is career. A promotion? 

11th house is ideals,  friendships, groups. New connections? A new vision?

12 house is behind the scenes institutions,  hidden realms.  Psychic sensitivity. Powerful dream messages? (see tab for 'houses' under Pages - for more details on each house)

 

Taurus rules the 2nd house in general, which is about personal finances and our sense of personal worth or value,  as well as the planet we live on ~ Gaii. Earth quakes are possible,  or some other sort of physical disruption. Financial markets may become destabilized or changed in some unexpected way, or we could experience an accelerated movement toward global digital currency. It is possible that Jupiter could bring financial good luck. Make a wish! Then again, Neptune likes to dissolve and disappear things!

Remember this is a seed time- the start of something new. It wont happen overnight. Then again, it could!! Overall, an eclipse is a portal or opening that we step through into a new reality. The current Pisces planetary energy has also acted like a kind of portal; both are suggesting that this is a very sensitive and highly charged energetic, a critical moment, a turning point. I feel like I use that term a lot (turning point) ... in nature everything moves in circles and cycles; so there are always going to be beginnings and endings. Still, this is a clear half way point in the current zeitgeist, and with Saturn at right angles to the Collective Destiny Points, it does seem to be a critical moment and a time of karmic reckoning. We get to choose the direction we want to move in - and what we want to focus on and manifest.   Pluto, representing  our collective evolutionary journey,  has just turned retrograde, making it necessary to revisit and review  what it is that needs to be transformed. 

 

Part of how the god of the underworld (Pluto)  works is to reveal the shadow side of things; its journey through Capricorn has been revealing some of the darker side of world politics and revealing corrupt systems of power.  It will continue to shake the tree and clear the house, in an effort to change the way things are done in the halls of power. Makes me think of a Spirit of the West song about just that (one of my favourite Canadian bands)

Welcome this New Moon eclipse as the energetic reset we need.

Set your intentions and focus on what you want to manifest;  we are powerful creators and this is one of those moments where we get to see just how powerful we are! Focus and intention can take this energy of transformation and direct it to where we would like to see it go. Start within- then let it ripple outwards.

 

We are still in the beautific energy field of the Venus Jupiter Neptune conjunction which is bringing us the energy of Faith (Neptune) , Hope (Jupiter) and Love (venus). This combination can activate our deepest intuition - use this rarefied field to deep dive into your own psyche to see/feel what is possible, and what needs to be released. Finally, another way this may be felt is as a highly romantic pull to give and receive love. 

 

 

Focus on what nourishes both you and those you love.  Love itself is the best food for the soul. And physical self care is also vital at this time. Pay attention to what you are eating. Is it organic? Free trade? Cruelty free? Food chains could be disrupted. If you aren't already, grow your own food. Be self sufficient. Join with others in a collective. Be the change. Set your intention, plant your seeds, and let them grow.

And above all else:  Dance. Celebrate.
