New Moon in Capricorn: Get 'r Done

Welcome to 2022! 

The New Year begins with the Sun conjunct the Moon in Capricorn. A New Moon occurs approximately once every month and brings fresh new beginnings. Capricorn is a heavy lifter focused  on concrete, material manifestation.  The addition   of Jupiter (abundance, good luck and expansion) squaring the nodes of the Moon ~ gives us a super boost to vision and manifest our intentions. Focus on what you want to create and make it so! Follow up with hard work and solid effort.

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.

Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and endless plans.

That the moment one definitely commits oneself then providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one that would never have otherwise occurred.

A whole stream of events issue from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents, and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would come his way.

The Moon in easy flow with  Uranus brings cooperation between emotions and insight, with the potential for aha moments and  emotional awakening. Uranus also adds an element of the unexpected ~ a sudden turn of events can shift our perspective and make way for breakthroughs.

Venus nearby adds beauty, love and  the potential for financial benefit. 

This is a powerful time to plant our seeds of intention ~ vision what you would like to see unfold over the coming month, as well as the whole year. 
 

Although the New Year is more of a political construct (the Gregorian calendar was adopted in 1582, as directed by Pope Gregory XIII ) and not particularly aligned with anything astrological, a New Moon at the beginning of January definitely sets the tone for the coming year. Success is more likely when we begin new projects and initiate ideas during a New Moon phase. 

Jupiter’s  recent move into watery Pisces  adds a visionary and spiritual element to 2022. When it joins Pisces in April a special blessing will be upon us.

 

All of this bodes well for the coming year, and promises to lighten  our burden as we move past very difficult times.

And ~  it is not over yet. The Saturn Uranus square is still creating great tension between government restrictions and the need for freedom. Venus retrograde is pushing us inward to reflect on our interpersonal relationships,  as well as our relationship with money. . Pluto’s influence suggests a trimming away of excess fat ~ either our budget or our relationships may be getting some pruning.

A time to rest and renew.

 All in all there is a feeling  of hope and promise ~ yet also a caution. This is a time to reflect deeply on how we exist in the world with others, and a time to examine our intrinsic values. As our beliefs systems continue to adjust and transition from what we thought was true to a new version of “reality”, we may feel rather destabilized at times.

Neptune, the obfuscator, continues to blur the lines between fact and fiction. Lies abound. New information will continue to come forth to challenge established mindsets and open us up to new ideas. This is a time of awakening as we shift into the new era. All times of birth are associated with pain and stress, fear and apprehension, as well as incredible excitement and potential. We are birthing the new age.

The Return of the Light requires a  Quantum Leap:
