Full Moon brings to a peak the emergies of the last New Moon

I may be on here less during the summer months... I hope you are enjoying your holidays (if you have them)  This is a time of two-steps-forward and one-step-back; we all need to be flexible and persistent at the same time. I am going to see how it goes re writing this blog... change is in the air.

The Full Moon last Friday was both powerful and beautiful ~ did you see it?

With Pluto close by, emotions already amplified by the Full Moon were both volatile and intense, and that effect lingers on still. We  started a new emotional cycle at the last Cancer New Moon  two weeks ago... and those emotional issues came to a peak at the Full Moon. There is a lot of pressure to change, grow and adapt... with an added emphasis on family and children.  That includes feeling into our own inner child and learning to take better care of ourselves. We are called to  laugh and play a little (or a lot) ... take a moment to  set aside your worries to let go and enjoy life.  Let your inner child out to play; that's what summer is for!

This call to en-joy is set against a background of increased  power struggles and control dramas - yet maybe because of them - breakthrough conversations can bring issues out into the open.  Communication  is certainly loaded right now (Mercury opposite Pluto), and we do need to tread carefully, yet there is  a chance for a real change of attitude.  If you've felt stuck in something, now is the time to push thorough.  We are  liberating ourselves from old karmic cycles (or are being liberated); they say the outer planets act as fate when we do not heed their message. Better to do the work required. As old traumas come up for healing, the 'shite' that is hitting the proverbial fan can make us  extra touchy - triggering the instinct to avoid or deny whatever is bothering us. But this is not a time to bottle up your feelings or they will ending up exploding at the worst moment.  Sun in Leo gives us the courage  to face and heal whatever is being stirred up; Jupiter's optimism reminds us that there is always a rainbow after the storm.

It's time to step out of limiting beliefs... We are not only releasing old inherited programing, we are  changing our idea of how things 'should' be. We are not in Kansas anymore Dorothy!

At the same time, we can become susceptible to Neptunian distortions ... mix ups and misunderstandings can make it feel like nothing will ever go right. Sun in Leo rules the heart, bringing us the  generousity of spirit that is so needed in these polarizing times, and the courage to persevere.

The background tension of Saturn Uranus pits those who want to follow the rules (Saturn) against those who don't (Uranus). There may be an ongoing urge to break free of something, yet blockages and delays that make things difficult.  We will need to persevere; even in the midst of obstacles, change will happen.  It may require tacking- you know when a sail boat has to zig-zag back and forth to keep moving forward.  Nothing is simple right now as we sit in the  tension between past and future... we are in the liminal space of the in-between.

The in-between is a very creative space. We are now creating our future, whether we know it or not. I listened to a fabulous podcast a few days ago (Living Myth) that described the huge changes and challenges going on as an alchemical process of inner and outer transformation.  Michael Meade speaks to the idea that we are on a great threshold that requires change on personal, collective and global levels, and talks about the three stages of alchemy: 1.The Breakdown stage  2. The in-between 3. The new energy that enters the space made by clearing out the old.  Hearing his wise words brought me a lot of peace  re the current craziness - a sense that it is all part of something bigger. He's saying there is gold is the shadow, but we may have to dig for it.

Aquarius is about the future... it rules the New Age we are entering and the collective awakening we are supposedly now in. there's a warning (via Pluto)  that we are being stripped down in order to clear away whatever is in the way of a new beginning (like our attachment to 'how things were'). Both death and change are a part of life... whether we like it or not. If we fear change, it will still come; if we resist death , it will still come. Carlo Castaneda was told by his teacher to always keep death on his left shoulder. Not so much to focus on death and endings, but to let them heighten our awareness of  the preciousness of life.

There are also some lovely energies flowing around us ... up until a few days ago Venus was  in Leo reminding us to keep our hearts open;  our connection to each other is critical part of managing the ongoing changes that are occurring. Aquarius is about everyone working together for the greater good. Sun in Leo urges us to claim our sovereignty and shine our light into the world.

If not now, when?  If not us, who?
