New Moon- New Moment (sort of)

The New Moon in Libra today brings another chance to press the reset button. Someone online called it a "fresh start with our old baggage."  Haha! That's kind of what this whole year is about, as all our past karma gets dredged up and thrown in our face. Sorry,  I know its not really funny, but if we can see that this madness is in fact a karmic reckoning - perhaps we will do the work of sorting ourself out and facing our own sh*t. Avoidance is futile!!

Every month there's a New Moon in the next sign - flowing around the zodiac wheel and showing the progression of energy around a repeating cycle or circle. Around and around we go- hopefully learning something new with every passing. At this time last year many astrologers were putting out warnings about 2020, and though no one really knew what form the shake-up would take, we knew it was coming.

So here we are,  trying to maintain some sort of equilibrium as things get rattled and shook from every direction.  Libra is all about balance, harmony, and love ~ which gets  tricky when you’re being poked and prodded from all sides. With the Sun and Moon opposite warrior Mars and his crazy sister Eris, and  at right angles to the Capricorn Crunch (Saturn Jupiter Pluto)  things are extremely volatile, even with Libras soothing presence.

All of  these powerful planets facing off against each other at the beginning of a new cycle tells us that the  coming month promises to continue to be both unstable and volatile. Any Libran attempt at balance or holding the tension will require our A-game: Awake. Aware. Alert.

Find your center ~ and stay there!

Despite these dire warnings, the New Moon can bring new energy and fresh starts to our relationships, as long as are willing to let go of whatever is causing us problems (a new look at old baggage). It’s so easy to fall into unconscious patterns with those we are close to; ironically they are often the people we take our most unconscious sh*t out on. Saturn says we need to do the inner work on ourself, via Mercury retrograde in Scorpio... if we hope to learn how to be with another. This may bring up old wounds and secrets that need to be released into the light of day. The more we hold onto stuff the heavier we feel. So this karmic blast can be a freeing from old stuck stuff and an opening for better communication and better connections. Whatever you're holding onto ~
Let it go- let it go.

Mercury Retrograde will turn us back on ourself- we can use the next few weeks to review and reflect on whatever  is coming up. With Mercury and Mars retrograde things will be slowed down and upside down (like they haven't been all year lol). Just more of it.

Control dramas are high on the agenda, as are brooding resentments or secret judgements (all the realm of Scorpio). It's easy to be overly hurtful with words right now - you may feel jarred, shocked or surprised by what someone is revealing. If there is something simmering below the surface- this is a time that it may bow sky high!  Uranus the Awakener can hit us like a lightning bolt to shock us awake,  or send us into fight, flight, or freeze. Self care in essental in stressful times.

There's  a beautiful grand trine fluidity between two of the more sublime planets (Venus Jupiter) and Uranus -  which promise moments of  peace, beauty, grace - joy - even in the midst of the madness.

That's where I wanna be :)

Staying  grounded is so important right now.  Walk in nature, feet on ground, do yoga or dance like no one is watching - whatever helps you shake off tension and reconnect to your body.  Allow the breath - your most constant companion - to bring you back to yourself. This whole year is so destabilizing - its going to take all of our inner resources to rise above petty differences and find the gold in the shadow.

You know you want to...

I Ching #5 WAITING.

If you are sincere,
You have light and success.
Perseverance brings good fortune.
It furthers one to cross the great water.

Waiting is not mere empty hoping. It has the inner certainty of reaching thegoal. Such certainty alone gives that light which leads to success. This leads to the perseverance that brings good fortune and bestows power to cross the great water.

One is faced with a danger that has to be overcome. Weakness
and impatience can do nothing. Only a strong person can stand up to her fate, for her inner security enables her to endure to the end. This strength shows itself in uncompromising truthfulness [with ourself]. It is only when we have the courage to face things exactly as they are, without any sort of self-deception or illusion, that a light will develop out of events, by which the path to success may be recognized.

This recognition must be followed by resolute and persevering action. For only the one who goes to meet her fate resolutely is equipped to deal with it adequately. Then she will be able to cross the great water--that is to say, she will be capable of making the necessary decision and of surmounting the danger.

Clouds rise up to heaven:
The image of WAITING.
Thus the superior man eats and drinks, Is joyous and of good cheer.

When clouds rise in the sky, it is a sign that it will rain. There is nothing to do but to wait until after the rain falls. It is the same in life when destiny is at work. We should not worry and seek to shape the future by interfering in

things before the time is ripe. We should quietly fortify the body with food and drink and the mind with gladness and good cheer.

Fate comes when it will, and thus we are ready.
