I have been feeling a bit  less inclined to write lately   - mostly due to Covid 19 and my mom passing, the combination of which has put me into very inward spiral.  I feel almost at a loss for words at times, with the world gone mad, and life turned upside-down. Explanations are not enough - and I really haven't got a clue anyway. I feel I am being pulled deeper  and deeper - seeking the place where peace resides; seeking light in the midst of the darkness. Funny how sometimes we must close our eyes to see the light.

So, while on one hand I feel the need to step back and really anchor myself in some way  (I am sure you can relate), on the other hand - there is some really amazing astrology occurring that can help describe or explain some of what we are going through. It won't necessarily change anything - but if we get a bit of a context and maybe try and see the bigger picture - perhaps we can find some meaning in the midst of the madness.

And that, as it  happens, is the theme of this Sagittarius Full Moon eclipse. Finding meaning  in the midst of chaos.

And chaos is definitely the key word right now. The ship is rocking wildly and many of us are starting to feel seasick, with the intense urge to get below deck (and stay there). The covid - chaos is still midstream - we thought it would be over by now - but it isn't,  and information and direction from the so called experts continues to be confused, chaotic, unclear, and even untrue.  Then, in the midst of all that -  Mars, the warrior planet, gets flared up by the Sun and  people get angry and activated and out onto the streets after months of isolation and lockdown. Shaken and stirred by witnessing a brutal act against a fellow human - something seems to have been let loose-  with protests  occurring all over the world.

A link between Mars and Uranus brings unexpected events and sudden uprisings. And unfortunately, probably due to Mars aggressive energy,  things have turned destructive and seem to be getting out of hand. 'Seems to be' is the operative term- as Neptune's presence adds confusion and obfuscation of the facts; nothing is what it seems.

Gemini (Sun) reminds us that are many sides to every story - and many actors on the scene. Don't assume you know all there is to know (Moon in Sagittarius notwithstanding) and don't think your own point of view is the only one of value. A Full Moon in Sag likes to big-up on people - I have heard so much pontificating on politics and race and privilege,  as if the person has suddenly become the arbiter of virtue and valour; yet I don't think anyone really knows what all of this is about. We are all just making it up as we go along.  So please check your righteous indignation at the door and just admit that you are as confused (and scared) as anybody. Learn to listen. Let yourself be humbled and admit  how little you know.

And- at the same time - know what you do know. Belief is a lower aspect of Sagittarius - it rules religious traditions and knowledge systems.  At its highest, Sagittarius is about the deep inner knowing inside of you.  In that place, we are all the same - we are all one. I'll meet you there...

“Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other”
doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”
