Full Moon Madness

If you want to get the newest blog posts via email,  please leave your info in link at top right. For shorter daily updates,   'like' Aurum Astrology on FB (link lower down on right column).  BTW: even if you follow a group or page, FB limits what you see in your newsfeed in order to get pages like mine to pay for more exposure. I rarely do that, so if you want to get regular info best to visit the page on your own.

The Full Moon - Super Moon in Virgo just peaked a couple of  hours ago. It looked very Full Last night, and will tonight as well. I love when the Moon is Full at midday - its like we get to see it twice!

People are extremely sensitive and vulnerable right now. Tread lightly. Speak gently.
"Let many things pass without being duped" (I Ching #36)

I wrote this blog late last night (couldn't sleep), then the whole thing disappeared before I could post it.  I tried to retrieve it this morning with no luck. One last Mercury retrograde moment haha!

Mercury turns direct today (whew!) at the same time as this powerful  Full Moon in Virgo -  a Super Moon (closer to the earth) that is more powerful than usual, affecting both physical and emotional tides. If you are feeling a little bit swamped emotionally, that could be why. I notice that I am kind of OCD right now- my brain is not working well so I'm just pushing through to write this post (for the second time). Not the best MO but the best I can do right now. And that pretty much sums up where we are at in general.

The preponderance of dreamy Piscean energies over the past few weeks has been forcing us to learn  patience and forbearance; many of us are treading water around tricky issues as we move through  the murky realms of  chaos and uncertainty.  As the world continues to go upside down and sideways, Trust becomes the key issue. A Virgo Moon wants to control outcomes, or at least get a handle on reactions. Virgos can be highly critical, which doesn't work well with Pisces sensitivity. Hence the warning to tread lightly. Whether it's  financial uncertainty,  political insanity or potential pandemics (or whatever else may be topsy-turvy in your life), everyone's a bit touchy, as the Full Moon brings up our unconscious survival fears.  Virgo may be able to provide some practical ways to sort ourselves out.  Try not to get too caught in your head.  Don't forget to breathe.

Saturn and Capricorn in Capricorn continue to demand that we grow up and take responsibility for ourselves,  then for each other, then for the planet. Right now those are all basically happening at once,  and many are feeling overwhelmed at the task ahead of us.   Although things feel rather heavy, we actually need the extra grounding, especially today,  as Mercury becomes stationary (not moving), creating what is called the 'Mercury storm' (basically a retrograde on steroids). Combined with the other Full Moon  ambiguities (Sun/ Neptune/Pisces),   its not an especially good day to sign papers or make commitments or agreements. Best to wait a day or two at least to let the storm pass - if you can. If not - do what you have to do with clear intent. I use astrology to understand  the cosmic weather; I do not run my life by it.  "The planets impel, they do not compell".

 Then again, 'forewarned is forearmed.'

With the focus right now on information and communication, we need to unclutter our minds and hearts, and untangle any crossed wires that may be short-circuiting our true intent.  If I could live by these four agreements, I would save myself a lot of grief!

We all have our work cut out for us lol. Once the Mercury storm has passed and it begins to make up lost ground, whatever has been lost or misunderstood should begin to gain some clarity. Unexpected information may come to light, lost objects, papers, phones(!) magically reappear.

Virgo, master of discernment,  wants to strip away what is unnecessary. Lines are getting drawn in the sand as we speak. Virgo "helps us to pinpoint that which is false, but the other part is to organize information and structures and people so that they are in right relationship to a  higher harmony." (from gene keys #62).   That includes sorting out facts from fiction. These days, there are too many opinions, with nobody listening. too easy to get stuck in being 'right'. I am discovering the real honesty begins with my own self. A "fearless moral inventory" (12 Steps) it a very Virgo type process involving honesty,self-awareness, self scrutiny.  But be aware that Virgos are the queens and kings of self-criticism - don't do that. Taking responsibility is not the same as beating yourself up. Stick to facing facts and setting boundaries.   Humility is required ~ but not at your own expense.

Full Moons amplify the polarity of opposites. If Pisces is about openness and absorption, Virgo is about discernment and purification. Time to offload sh*t we've taken on that is not ours.  Mercury in Pisces has a way of blurring the truth, and during this  retrograde we get to experience or reflect on our lack of boundaries and grounding. I went to an intuitive development  workshop last week with Lee Harris, an awesome wonderful healer and channeler, and one of his key messages was about having a healthy container/ boundary . His message to all empaths (people who absorb energy) : "Protect yourself like a motherfuckah!"

We are all empaths right now, as the High Sensitivity of Sun/Neptune/Pisces continues for another week. And Mercury still has to make its way back through Pisces, so we will continue to be more sensitive and permeable than usual. Virgo wants to control everything, yet one of the big lessons with Pisces is to learn to go with the flow.

“You can’t push it or force it. You gotta just place yourself there ~ and if it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, try again.”     (Robert De Niro, speaking about the acting process).

It is so easy, when we are under stress,  to revert to default programming. With our boundaries more permeable right now, and our  vulnerabilities out in the open for all to see, you may find yourself getting triggered into stuff rooted in old unprocessed emotional wounds  and family traumas. (((Chiron square Collective Destiny Point))). A deep need for emotional healing and release is manifesting both personally and collectively as Chiron in Aries (Healing the Wounded Self) activates our mother/ father issues (Cancer/Capricorn).  Part of the healing process is accepting our humanness, our faults, our foibles. Our vulnerability. The need to know that we are OK just as we are!

"You can't heal your way out of being human!"

Neptune/Sun/Pisces reminds us of our divinity, and our connection to 'all that is'. Although not necessarily helpful for day to day functioning, this beautiful energy can take us deep into meditation and stillness. When you take time to tap into that deep soul layer, it becomes easier to face the mundane. This is also great energy for creativity.  Even though I've been in  a low - energy cycle, I seem to have plenty of juice for painting and bejeweling.

Meanwhile, back on the planet, Saturn and Capricorn continue to pressure us to grow up and take responsibility for ourselves,  each other, the planet (in that order). Its not easy- resistence may come up around owning and facing the shadow (the stuff we'd rather project onto other people). If someone is triggering you right now-  find the gift. Chiron/Saturn/Pluto say:  Know who you are! Claim your power. Stop giving yourself away.

1. Know who you are.  2. Live your life consciously.  3. Have a heart full of gratitude.
