There was a New Moon in Sagittarius yesterday morning! New Moons are seed times where the Sun and Moon align to create new energy for the coming month. We are still in the  48 hour window for setting intentions; so this is an excellent time to reflect on 2019 and to think about what you want to manifest in 2020. If Sagittarius is your Sun sign or Ascendant - this may indicate that good luck and abundance are coming your way.

This New Moon in Sagittarius provides a very beautiful and powerful window for manifesting abundance, with Venus Jupiter nearby having been recently conjunct the Galactic Core (see last post). Feelings of ease and grace have been flooding our consciousness and bringing a sense of hope where there may have been despair.

I don't know about you, but I went shopping!  (When the going gets tough - the tough go shopping!)

Actually, I am not a big shopper; I have too much stuff already, I don't need more.  But Jupiter expands what it touches and Venus = love, money, beauty - so it will come as no surprise that Venus loves beautiful things! When these two get together spending sprees or expanded waistlines are inevitable. Abundance is not limited to having a ton of money - its more about appreciating what we do have. Speaking of, I did get some very much needed winter apparel (30% off at Value Village!) that actually fit! Plus, it was fun to hang out with a friend. Venus in Sagittarius is highly sociable! :)

But the consequence was I missed writing this blog.  When Jupiter and Venus combine - one has way less self-control!  Oh well,  I'm doing it now. When something so light and positive comes along,  we can use it to avoid the not-so-fun stuff, such as the pressure, fear and dread coming from Saturn and Pluto.  Still, heavy though they are, both Saturn and Pluto's purpose is to  bring about accountability,  and get us to take responsibility for what we are creating in our life and in our world.

Which brings me to the New Moon in Sagittarius.

The sign of Sagittarius links to our belief systems;  it seeks meaning through constant expansion and adventure. That is why it is also connected to other cultures, higher knowledge, and to sports and recreation. Sagittarians like to play!  Half beast - half man, the centaur bridges the world of the the senses and of the mind.  Sagittarius seeks the meaning of life - and  its adventures become the epic myths and stories of every culture. At its most elevated - the sign of the centaur is about the deep self-knowledge that lies at our core. It aims its bow high and follows the rainbow to find the pot of gold - only to discover that it was in us all the time. Its more about the  journey, and about  how we human spirits come down to earth - and what we learn here (or not).

In a less conscious manifestation - Sagittarius can be those stuck and deeply conditioned core beliefs that we are entrenched in. The New Moon moves into a new sign every month, offering us the chance to switch gears and press the reset button.

This time, Pallas Athena (an  asteroid) was near the New Moon, bringing a bit of warrior energy into the dynamic. Added to that, we have some very high-voltage tension being created by Mars (another warrior) and Uranus (sudden change and upsets) causing agitation, surprises, knee-jerk reactions. This is the stuff of arguments, confrontations and altercations.

I would suggest driving extra carefully, and remain mindful of the potential volatility occurring right now. With the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend in the US, it might be wise to avoid  drinking too much or getting into heated polarized political debates. (Ha ha ha ha ha - good luck with that!)  Haven't we figured out by now that nobody listens to anybody else? Everybody has their beliefs and they're sticking to them.

Sagittarius is famous for its ability to hold forth on a variety of subjects. This could bring out the know-it-all in everyone;  the challenge right now is to talk less and listen more. It's okay to stand up for your beliefs, in fact that's a good thing! But try not to bludgeon people because you think that your beliefs are better or more important than theirs.

So tell your stories, embrace them, embellish them; life is a story isn't it? Once upon a time.....
But try to keep it real. Neptune (the dreamer) continues to befuddle and beguile us. Sag, on the other hand,  insists on being real - often to the point of bluntness.
Ok, so we all BS a little now and then. But if someones story sound phony or unreal - and you are tempted to call their bluff - be prepared to accept that they can also call yours.
The main question is - what is the MOST REAL thing- for you!? And can you honour that in another?  Are you willing to listen to that person who's  story is different to yours? With these intense dynamics we all need to chill out a little.  Listen more.  Be the eternal student; there is always so much to learn.

We are all different colors of the rainbow - no one is better than the other. Isn't it fascinating how all colour emerges from pure white light!?

Ultimately, Sagittarius is the seeker of truth.  At the depth of Sagittarius is a wise, knowing self (that which is being sought) that can help us rise above petty politics.  Tune into that!  As Jupiter crosses over the Galactic core,  it calls us to tune in to our essence and remember who we are, and at that core level - we are all the same! Venus's message is that our true value lies in our ability to love. I'm sorry if that sounds too hippie-dippie, but I 'Believe' it really is the Truth! :)

Something new and wonderful this way comes.

POSSESSION IN GREAT MEASURE.
I Ching #14

The fire in heaven above shines far,
and all things stand out in the light and  become manifest.

Fire in heaven above:
Thus the superior man curbs evil and furthers good,
And thereby obeys the benevolent will of heaven.

The sun in heaven above, shedding light over everything one earth,
is the  image of possession on a grand scale.

But a possession of this sort must be  administered properly.

The sun brings both evil and good into the light of  day.
Man must combat and curb the evil,
and must favor and promote the  good.
Only in this way does he fulfill the benevolent will of the Good,
who desires  only good and not evil.

Don't forget to ask what is right!
