New Moon New Moment New Choice

Today’s NEW MOON in GEMINI contains some tricky, trickster type energy. Ground yourself - avoid extremes - hold to middle way. Change is afoot - set your intentions carefully!  (don’t forget to read the fine print!)

We are about to discover what  awesome  creators we are as we vision our way forward.

Every New Moon is a new beginning. As we circle around the Sun each year - the Moon is also circling us. When the Moon and Sun line up together - we get a synergistic blend of yin and yang - inner and outer - feminine and masculine. This cosmic joining is a fertile seed time that gives us an opportunity to create anew. Over the next 48 hours we can plant seeds of intention and focus our way forward into the coming month.

This intentionality arises out of the rhythm of life - each New Moon progresses around the zodiac and brings us to the next sign and the next phase. Round and round the circle we go - ever spiralling - ever growing - ever learning. 

With the focus on Gemini right now, we get to start a new pattern of thinking and communicating.  Gemini rules our intelligence and the ability to articulate our thoughts and feelings. This is a chance to step outside old patterns and old stories; time for something completely different. 

Gemini’s ruler Mercury  can also be a trickster/the monkey mind - and we all know how that can turn out! Up-and-down and all around it goes. Yet it is also a magician and a healer - the quickening we need to bring us new insights. 

This New Moon energy activates our curiosity, our intelligence,  our need for social contact and our need to talk. Maybe not so much our ability to listen. There will be a lot of know-it-alls expounding on one thing or another. And if everybody’s talking -  and nobody’s listening - that’s not really going to work is it?

So keep your listening ears on and your empathic heart open as you reach out to others.  You aren’t the only one with something to say 😎

Listen - be attentive to details in all undertakings - the potential for confusion or misunderstandings is high right now (increased by Neptune’s presence). Important messages might arrive during this influence, as well as lies or misinformation; we will have to discern between the two.

That’s been a bit of a theme for a while now, so we should be getting used to it! 

Gemini is youthful, playful, mischievous/androgynous. They want us to think clearly and lighten up a little. They are the eternal Peter Pan who never wants to grow up. 

And yet there is another side to the story (in keeping with the dualistic nature of Gemini), Saturn Pluto bring a more somber tone to bear, one of accountability and come-uppance,  as we are forced to face and  clear up past mistakes. This is a time of reckoning - and that  message is a bit harder to hear. 

Gemini is a sign of duality that can show both sides of an issue. Both lightness and heaviness - darkness and light - can and do exist together. Holding the tension between the two is an art form in itself.  Facing the shadow is the trickier part of that process - as by its very nature, the shadow is the part we don’t want to see.

Over the next 48 hours we will be helped by the positive manifesting potential of this New Moon - so let your curious, creative and intuitive mind show you how to think outside the box and find new solutions to old problems. 

These are crazy times, yet we can still dream big and focus on possibilities and potential’s.  Yet all of it will come to naught if we cannot make it real - so try to keep at least one foot on the ground!

A young fox who as yet has not acquired this caution goes ahead boldly, and it may happen that he falls in and gets his tail wet when he is almost across the water.
