Unwinding the Full Moon

Blue Moon. You saw me standing alone.
Without a hope in my heart.
Without a Love of my own.

Blue Moon.
You knew just what I was there for.
You saw me saying a prayer for.
Somebody that I could care for.

If Saturn's melancholic mood effected you over the weekend (Blue Moon/Full Moon) - you can now breathe a sigh of relief. Change is coming. Things are shifting.

Over the past week or so,  a rather tense and  uneasy atmosphere (Mars/Saturn) saw  many of us slogging  through countless  challenges and reality checks. Have you been taking two steps back for every one step  forward? If you have been feeling stressed or frustrated   – or like you've been driving with the brakes on (Mars Saturn) - the worst of it comes to a peak today – and will gradually  lighten and shift by the end of the week.

The Full Moon in Libra has pushed some of us to a breaking point,  as it brought  to a head  the highly sensitive energies  that began fermenting at the  New Moon in Pisces two weeks ago. As inner wounds and vulnerabilities (Chiron) bubble to the surface – a  challenging t-square configuration  has put huge stress into an already touchy atmosphere. Some of us sailed through it without a scratch - others were not so lucky.

It's been a break down or  break through kind of weekend.

Oftentimes, it takes a crisis to get us to shift.  So although things have been rather uncomfortable, we are again being  provided with the opportunity to examine our deeper issues (just in case you haven't been doing that already lol). You know- the cracks  where the light gets in...

Translated to “golden joinery,” Kintsugi (or Kintsukuroi, which means “golden repair”) is the centuries-old Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with a special lacquer dusted with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. Beautiful seams of gold glint in the cracks of ceramic ware, giving a unique appearance to the piece.

This repair method celebrates each artifact's unique history by emphasizing its fractures and breaks instead of hiding or disguising them. Kintsugi often makes the repaired piece even more beautiful than the original, revitalizing it with new life." https://mymodernmet.com/kintsugi-kintsukuroi/

Libra helps us to find the beauty in those cracks - as we face the parts of us that need care and healing. Finding the 'gold in the shadow' is a term used by Jungians to describe the powerful process of digging into our dark corners to extract the gift.

Ever since Jupiter entered Scorpio, the sh*t has been hitting  the fan,  (as if it wasn't already lol),  and as the world spins more and more out of control - we are being asked to both save the planet - and at the same time-  save ourselves. If that seems like a tall order - it is! The first step- and the middle step - and the last step - is  that by doing  deep emotional work  - we can become healed and whole.  That means facing our anger, and feeling our pain. Overwhelm and shut down are a natural response, although that method is probably not going to help.

Full Moons amplify our emotions, often triggering confrontations with other people;   misunderstandings result from the hurt feelings coming to the surface. A lot of the internal angst  being mirrored in our relationships with others (Libra) and   manifesting in the world at large, comes from inside of us. The intense polarization  online and in the media seem to be reflected in all our interpersonal communication, and vice versa.

'As within so without'.

It can get very tricky -  people tend to lash out when they feel threatened or vulnerable.  Watch out for knee jerk reactions or defensive stances. Find some compassion(Neptune in Pisces). Try and see the other point of view (Libra). Listen rather than judge. (Mercury vs Saturn)

Libra (Moon) is all about finding love, harmony and balance – she wants everyone to be get along. On the other side of the equation- Sun in Aries (god of war)   is impatient and aggressive and  always revving up for a challenge. The resulting aggro -  made worse by Mars/Saturn - has resulted in stress and strife for everyone within striking range. If you got stuck in any of this - the best advice I could give is try and stay out of it.  Duck!

Hehe. A sense of humour helps as well!

If you've been working at cross purposes – with yourself – or with others- now is the time to take a step back and reflect and review (Mercury Retrograde). We are now at the midpoint of the retrograde period-  we are already halfway there.  Use this time to re evaluate what you have been thinking and saying.  The two key issues up for review right now are anger (Mars) and judgement (Saturn).  Can you see where these are helping or hindering the process of healing? Are you stirring the pot - or sharing the soup?

With Venus now cuddled up at home in  Taurus, helps us to relax , read a good book, eat a good meal, take some time out from the battle. Venus wants us to see that, even in the midst of the craziness, there is much to be thankful for (even if it doesn't always look like it). There are always small things to that we can count as blessings.  And even big things :)

Remember  that everything is temporary; much of the mud that we've been mired in will soon come out in the wash. Clarity is on its way to you.

Toward that end,  the Moon, now in Scorpio,  is giving us x-ray vision that we can use to investigate the underlying sources of  conflict. Please don't use your enhanced vision to judge people. Instead, use it to get a better understanding of why they are doing what they are doing.  Or - why you are. It’s all too easy to see other's mistakes; it takes a bigger person to see into the heart of a person.

Try it – you’ll like it.
You know you want to.
