New Moon in Sagittarius: Hope Springs Eternal!

The Sagittarius New Moon on Tuesday  November 29^th is expansive, inspiring and full of surprises.  This positive energy field  can help us to line ourselves up with the cosmos; it tells us something exciting is waiting in the wings.

I don't have a crystal ball and I don't like to make predictions but I can say the obvious: that  the only way to go from here is up!!!  And after months of intensity and bizarreness,  we  use something positive and upbeat! This New Moon will give us a chance for a  reboot  ... time for something completely different (again).
 

The  joining of Sun and Moon  is called the 'Conjunctio';  the sacred union of masculine (Sun) and feminine (Moon)  which plants a seed for the coming month. This is an excellent time to set our intentions.

 Sagittarius is the sign of the cosmic adventurer ,  the part of us that wants to expand and grow and learn and travel and... and... and!

Enthusiasm is in the air.

 

And after a month of the dark depths of Scorpio,  it feels good to be moving back into the light. We are less than a month from the winter solstice, where the days will begin to get longer. WooHoo!

Sagittarius, full of wisdom,  says 'learn from your mistakes'. Find a better way. As Pluto, Uranus and Eris continue to shake up our consensus reality there's an openning for something totally different. Synchronicity is all around. For some it may be about finding a new method of operating. Others may overhaul the old.  Part of this may be standing up for what you know is right (Mars in Aquarius) and not giving in to fear. This is about seeking  positive outcomes, no matter the circumstances.

 

When the going gets tough the tough get going!

I know all the problems are not going to magically disappear.  But we must not give in to avoidance or despair. Neptune’s effect on this New Moon can make us prey to escapism. There's also lots of room for  misconceptions as untruths continue pouring out at a mile a minute. Like so many websites dedicated to creating false news, our minds can lead us down the garden path; obfuscation abounds. Or you may just want to escape it all and run away to some Yoga retreat in the Himalayas; the beckon of distant shores has never been so strong.

Do be careful of wishful thinking,  false imaginings, wistful longings. Today Mercury (thinking, communicating) joins serious Saturn,  so we must 'woman up' and deal with what's in front of us. But do let your imagination guide you in a positive way. There is much creativity in this New Moon.

All in all, Sagittarius is a truth teller. And although it can sometimes get stuck in 'lalala ...  my truth is better; I don't want to hear your truth'...  Saturn nearby insists we surrender our illusions and delusions and face the reality that is right in front of us.  At the same time, Sagittarius reminds us that everything is a matter of perspective.  This New Moon can broaden our horizon,  as it awakens the part of us that wants and seeks higher ground. Seek the long view. Suddenly the cup is half full - instead of half empty.

Despite recent endings, disappointments or losses, (Venus/Pluto) there is always hope.  It may not be looking like what you expected but that doesn't mean the story is over. Be careful not get stuck in the past. Those times are gone and ain’t nothing going to bring them back, yet there is always something to gain if we are willing to remain awake and alert.

Let this New Moon give you the boost you have been looking for.  Radical change is in the air …  we may as well go with it.   Let this expansive, positive blast of Sagittarian fresh air blow your doubts away and show you  that silver lining.
