Full Moon Taurus: Where the Light gets In.

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in.

Rest in Peace Leonard

As we head toward a "Super/Super' (extra extra close to the earth) Full Moon in Taurus this Monday Nov 14th ... we are still recovering from the fallout out of recent world events.  The grounding energy of Taurus can help soothe and stabilize us after a crazy week of tension, anxiety and shock.

(I did say to expect the unexpected!)

Do take good care of yourself.  Taurus is about safety and security and creature comforts. Light a fire.  Get some good wine. Go for a walk in nature. Let mother earth nurture and support you and soothe your aching soul. Let your senses bring you back into your body and  take over from your over-stimulated brain for a few days. You know you want to.

Astrologers have been warning for years that we were entering a time of great uncertainty; its been discussed here many times that Pluto in Capricorn represents the dissolution of the old order, and its square (great tension) to Uranus  brings revolution, upheaval and profound change to the planet we live upon.

“We as a society are entering a space between stories, in which everything that had seemed so real, true, right, and permanent comes into doubt.”

“As we exit the old familiar story that explained to us the way of the world and our place in it, we may try and cling to it all the more desperately as it dissolves, looking perhaps to (some political hero) to restore it, but that too is an illusion… no savior (political or otherwise) has the power to bring back the dead.

So, here we are…  in the thick of it!

The key thing to get is that this chaos and confusion is a good thing, even f it doesn’t feel like it. The seed of the new is present in the husk of the old … which must be stripped away for new growth to occur. The old order must die, and to do so it must unravel… meaning we must go through a period of some discomfort.

It’s always darkest before the dawn. Yadayadayada…

Jupiter is currently re-activating and expanding the revolutionary energy,  adding to the upsetting and disturbing energy field of Eris (goddess of discord) with Uranus (shock, upsets, sudden change) Interestingly,  this combo lies directly across from Donald Trump's Jupiter ... needless to say, his presence is amplifying the craziness (as if I had to tell you that!)

To be honest, if it wasn't him it would be someone else; the destabilizing energy will find a way to express itself. Then again, it could have been Bernie Sanders. Perhaps we need to face the shadow before we can embrace the light.

Speaking of light... our beloved Leonard Cohen has left this planet (can't say I blame him). But he left his wisdom and his music to sooth our souls. He reminds us that our human frailty is part of what allows us to feel. He says we want/need it darker.    Ahhh Leonard... You've been dancing with the shadow all your life.  Yet the light still made its way through the cracks.

It's helpful to remember that at other times where great upheavals and or revolutions occurred are now looked back on as key turning points for the human race. Maybe you think the only good thing that came out of the 60’s was the great music, but for many it was a time of awakening where powerful seeds of change were planted (which is what the music reflected). This song expresses it all...

We are at now the next turn of the wheel.

That feeling of disillusionment you’ve been feeling? Don't give in to it.  The Moon moved into Pisces just minutes after the election finished, then squared Saturn as it linked up with Neptune ( deep sea/ earthquakes ... a tsunami?) Neptune's wave of fog dissolves what we think is real, and creates a feeling of  unreality, and Saturn is basically a downer all around... creating depression, disillusionment... an urge to escape the madness.

Sun in Scorpio is there to remind us that we always must  face the shadow before we can allow in the light. Are we having fun yet?

All hope is not lost (although it may be hiding in the fog). Watch out for your reactions. As the Moon moves through feisty Aries this weekend, it will re-activate this intense energy field.

For some, sorrow will turn to anger as Mars in Aquarius adds to the rebellious mood.  Saturn in Sagittarius continues to ask us to examine our belief systems and take responsibility for the stories we tell ourselves. Are you victim or victor? What does that even mean? Our illusions will continue to be confronted by reality. Depression may result. Or rage...

Be careful. We all need to remain cool calm and collected and focus on the big picture. The ‘super’  Full Moon on Monday in earthy Taurus will stabilize things and help us get grounded.  Our relationships to each other can bring us much joy and comfort (Jupiter in Libra) in the midst of the madness.

Planets are changing signs… things are shifting.
All is not lost!   Politicians come and go..

head up his ass

Taurus is the Earth Mother, who will outlast us all!  At this Full Moon... honour her. Become yin. Become receptive.

Neptune in Pisces  encourages us to embody love, compassion, creativity. What can we do to keep positive energy flowing?  Perhaps we will discover new ways of creating the world we want. Venus moving into Capricorn asks us to be pragmatic about love. Walk our talk. Actions speak louder than words.

Many years ago, at a time of personal crisis, I got a message: "The darkness cannot exist. The darkness will go away."

We are facing the collective shadow right (Scorpio) now and its not pretty. When you do a fast… the first few days are not fun as all the impurities and toxins come to the surface. That’s what is happening now. All the ugliness is there to see.

Be careful about  projections… we cannot recognize something in another if it wasn’t also somewhere in us. Own your own sh*t in other words.  In the words of the wise I Ching... 'Don't try to fight evil with evil'. That only strengthens it (what you resist you get).

"The only way to eliminate evil is to make energetic progress in the good."

Black Moon Lilith says: Take heart. The feminine (our wild, feeling soulful self)  is on the rise. She will not be held down any longer.  This is not the end… it is just the beginning….!

Take a deep breath. You are alive... how awesome is that!

Taurus says Nurture yourself.  Nurture others. Nurture the good.
Then... Hug someone. Hug the earth.

You know you want to!

#3. Difficulty at the Beginning: I Ching

Times of growth are beset with difficulties. They resemble a first birth. But
these difficulties arise from the very profusion of all that is struggling to
attain form . Everything is in motion: therefore if one perseveres there is a
prospect of great success, in spite of the existing danger.

When it is a person's fate to undertake such new beginnings, everything is still unformed, dark.
Hence s/he must hold back, because any premature move might bring disaster.
Likewise, it is very important not to remain alone; in order to overcome the
chaos s/he needs helpers. This is not to say, however, that you should
look on passively at what is happening. You must lend your hand and
participate with inspiration and guidance.
