Happy Spring Equinox (Are we there yet?)

Spring has sprung,
sort of.

Where I live in western Canada the weather forecast is for more cold and snow (after two weeks of warmth and sunshine that is very cruel) Sigh.  I know we are not the only ones.  What a winter eh?

Anyway, Happy Spring to you all. It will come sooner or later.
( and  a Happy Autumn to those of you 'down under')

Astrologically the Equinox is when we have equal day and night, hence the term  equi (equal) nox (day).  The Sun moves into Aries, sign of the warrior, bringing fire and initiative and the urge to move, do, act . Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and this is the first day. (That is why Aries like to be first)

It seems appropriate that Aries ruler, Mars, is sitting exactly opposite in Libra, sign of the scales and home of the autumn equinox. It is a moment of equanimity, when we are called to pause and find our center.  Take a breath in. Feel it.  Hold it. (Caress it) Then... let it go...exhale...  as you step into the new day.

We have a stabilizing trine from Saturn to the Sun as it enters the first sign of the zodiac, which  grounds this beginning of the new Astrological cycle,  giving it breadth and depth.

A Grand Trine in water signs between Jupiter (expansion, joy) Moon (emotions, intuition) and Neptune/Mercury (spiritual essence, creativity, communication, thinking) brings a feeling of great blessing upon us, showering us with emotional ease and grace in the midst of so much ongoing upheaval and chaos.

We are heading for another showdown between Pluto and Uranus, coming to a planet near you on April 14th , and things are tense, powerful, exciting, daunting.   Hang on for the ride... it ain't over till the fat lady sings!!!!  (does anyone know where that saying comes from???)

Anyway...   Happy Day to you!       May you live in interesting times!!!
