Heal and Release

In the Northern Hemisphere, spring is in the air. Or was. One day its warm and balmy, the next it is cold and wintery. The current Astrology reflects this in between state of things. We are moving toward the Spring Equinox on March 20th, when the Sun crosses what is called the Aries point... the beginning of a new Astrological year.  

Mars is the planet of desire and action. As it moves toward Uranus in Aries, there’s a sense of restless impatience and the urge to move … fast. We want what we want and we want it NOW!

Yet  at this moment, the Sun, Venus and Mercury are still visiting with Neptune, and Chiron in watery Pisces,  telling us that everything we seek lies within.Because Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, there may be a bit more clearing to do before we are totally ready to move forward. There’s a creative tension here that we can use to our advantage or let it wreak havoc on our nerves.  Healing waters are needed.

The remaining  Pisces energy is calling us to heal and release. It is in fact the motto for this whole year,  yet is particularly in play at this moment as we sit on the cusp of the change of seasons.

Mercury’s recent retrograde in Pisces has had us on an internal quest. Mercury is about to turn direct (Sunday) so its energies are amplified. This transition from backward to forward is called the 'Mercury Storm', and the usual crazy effects of Mercury Retrograde tend to be amplified at this time. Best wait a few days before you sign agreements, make firm commitments etc. Lost information could come to light at this time which could influence your choices, so try and hang in there just a bit longer.

Confusion is another manifestation of this strange whirling energy field.

As it turns direct, Mercury lines up exactly with Neptune (ruler of Pisces, ruler of the seas), blurring our logic and linear thinking. Due to Neptune's influence, there’s a good chance that  whatever bubbles up at this time (information wise) will be of a spiritual, intuitive or creative nature. Or just a little  bit crazy!  

Try to keep in mind that this is the area of the zodiac that deals with universal energy and is not so much about day-to-day details. If you want to decipher it, you will have to speak the language of the soul, which comes in the form of dream imagery, symbolism, music, and is most easily accessed in stillness.

That said, the combination of the newly energised Mars energy with this remaining Pisces element could have us all dancing in the streets. Or alone in the living room when no one is watching.  Let the rhythms of sound carry you into ecstatic union… with you.

Around the time of this particular Mercury moving direct, dodgy situations or information could soon come to light. Neptune and Pisces can create veils of illusions; we are more easily taken in when our vision is blurred; another good reason to wait a few days before you commit to anything of great import.

This continues to be an especially potent time to access our creative stream… let it move through you and out into the world.

I like the quote above in its recommendation to bring our larger, more expansive soul self into play as we move through this earth realm. When we harmonise with our true self, the possibilities are endless.

And Mars in Aries is chomping at the bit to get going. Go ahead and do what you have to do, yet be conscious that delays and rerouting will still be in effect. Try to be patient for just a bit longer. As more planets shift into Aries we will have to go ahead we seek…and it will be mock speed forward.

 For now, let this strong urge to take initiative activate the last steps of preparation. And she says in the above quote, to attain what we desire sometimes means letting go of it. I know it’s a kind of conundrum, yet at its heart this contains a great truth.

All the internal work we are doing pays itself forward, in that if we can become more aware, more conscious of what drives us from within, then we can tap into the immense potential and creativity of soul that exists at our core, and we can truly manifest our hearts desire in this world.

Oh and BTW: that may not be the same as your ego’s desire. We think we want this and that… and so much of what we think we want is conditioned by media, by our social conditioning, by a sense of lack etc.  What if we knew we were abundant beyond belief?  What if everything we are seeking is already inside of us (in essence)?

This weekend (and always), it is  time to listen to your heart to discover what it is you truly want.
