Click on the title to see what Eric  Francis writes about the Chile Earthquake and it's connection to the current Full Moon.  Interesting read.

About Moon Phases

There are eight distinct phases of the Moon. Each Moon phase is favorable for some activities and unfavorable for others. It is the Moon phases that farmers the world over have used for centuries in planting seeds at the proper times to increase the yield of their crops. By knowing the phase of the Moon, we can more easily cooperate with the windows of opportunity that are currently open and thus use our time on Earth to its optimum advantage.  (Jan Spiller, Astrodienst)

Moon Phases: Full Moon

When the Moon is full it is because it is exactly opposite the Sun and is perfectly reflecting the Sun's light.  Opposites/oppositions can tell us something about ourselves in relation to others. We all tend to reflect and project aspects of ourselves onto other people to some degree or other. At a Full Moon we can see beyond our selves and suddenly  have access to a larger view of others.

Because things are so magnified, this presents a rare moment when you can (potentially) see yourself objectively. If not, then it will seem like its all the other person.

In this way that the Full Moon phase stirs and amplifies emotion,  partly because when you "see" what is happening, you may become upset if you’re experiencing the "same ole, same ole" -- rather than the things you would like.  Because it's like looking in a mirror, it is not always comfortable.

If the Full Moon phase is a disappointment, on the next New Moon it's time to take creative action in the direction of your dreams. (New Moon = New beginnings)

This Full Moon is in Virgo. Virgo is about detail.  Things have to be perfect.  There could be a tendency to be a bit critical...of self or others. So be careful.  This might be a good time to let many things pass. Virgo also rules Health, so watch out for health issues.  And it governs Work as well...so work issues could come up. You may find yourself  working too much, be more critical at work or feel criticized.  (see how it works?) Use the ability to focus on detail to get important issues dealt with, but go easy...make you sure are rested and taking care of yourself.

As for moi: As a Cancer Sun sign (Cancer is ruled by the Moon) I do find I am quite susceptible to the effects of a Full Moon.  I often get a sense of pressure building up until it passes, then a 'whew' feeling afterward...as its effects dissipate.  My gut instinct with this one is to keep my head down and stay out of trouble.  I will tell you next blog if I succeeded.

Of course planets aspecting the full Moon will add  effects to its impact... the top article goes into some of that. Jupiter conjunct Sun (in same place as) is going to amplify the effects of this moon so emotions will definitely feel pressurized. Watch out for potential triggers.

Because I am so wary of predictive stuff (don't want to create self fulfilling prophecies) I don't always look at whats coming up too closely....I will tend to scan and get a general feel of the lay of the land.  Some Astrologers...such as Eric Francis (quoted above)...are highly skilled at predicting and interpreting world events in relation to transiting planets.  So when something significant happens I will try to post their comments here so you can get a taste of how various Astrologers work.

Happy Full Moon
