Full Moon Virgo Awakening the Dream

Image
How does your imagination colour your world?   What do you long for? What do you dream of? Where do you go when you feel lost, spaced out, confused? We are about to find out!  This Monday, February 22, the Moon will be Full in Virgo, opposite the Sun and Neptune in the sign of Pisces. Despite the Moon being in detail oriented, logical Virgo, this is a very non linear,  creative, and  unusually dreamy Full Moon. Pisces is the energy of an eternal, ethereal source, the ultimate  oneness. That which we are really always seeking in everything we do (whether we know it or not) ... a way to return to our original innocence. A way to remember .... Virgo is about purification and healing. It is also about service and the striving for perfection. The Sun in Pisces opposite the Full Moon  represents a call for conscious awakening.  If we answer this powerful pull toward redemption, we can heal the illusion of separation. The trick is to do it consciously. Neptune is str

True Love

Sunday is Valentines Day, when the world celebrates love in all its forms. Romantic love is the obsession of western culture (perhaps because we have forgotten what love really is?) What I know is that it is more than that. Love that wants to own is not really love. That  is attachment, desire, lust. But not love. Love that is free can still cherish,  nurture, embrace. Love is all that and more.  Happy Love Day ! Kahlil Gibran on Love When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, So shall he descend to your roots

New Moon in Aquarius: Whats your vision?

Image
Monday's New Moon in Aquarius is going to put the 'kick' in 'kick start!'  Mars in in the mix to make sure we really do finally get going after a month of delays and reflections and inner musings. Now its time to get a move on! We are getting ready for some NEW Energy. Aquarius is  the 'quirky' in all of us, and helps us think outside the box. Its time to break free of whatever has been holding us back, although it may take some effort, the planets are lined up in our favour. Aquarius is the maverick who doesn't like to follow the crowd, and yet, ironically, also represents the collective, the group. But its a different kind of group. Think 60's and hippies and free love, united in a cultural revolution. Don't worry, you dont have to grow your hair and start wearing beads (unless you want to). The age of Aquarius is about defining our individuality as well as recognizing our unique connection to all humanity, based on equality and love for

How deep is your love?

This weekend we are entering a powerful, passionate field of love. We can expect lots of fireworks this weekend as  Moon (emotions)  Venus (Love),  Pluto (death transformation)  and Mercury (communication)  all meet up in Capricorn. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. This may be a fateful weekend  as these powerful energies let loose.   An old flame could reappear under this transit. Time to finally let go? Or perhaps those flames get rekindled! Some wont be able to handle it, and will walk away, while others will stick around to enjoy the play.  Financial losses or gains could also be dramatic and sudden. (Venus rules love and money).  Let the chips fall where they may.  On Sunday, the New Moon in Aquarius will kickstart a new wave of energy that signifies a fresh start.  New Moment, New choice!   Jupiter lined up with the North Node destiny Point is about realigning  our relationships to  our life purpose. What doesn&

Feb 2nd Imbolc, Candlemass, Groundhog Day

Today is Imbolc, the halfway point between the Winter Soltice and Spring Equinox. At this time we pause and look hopefully toward the coming spring. It may still feel cold and dark in the northern hemisphere, but we can feel a shift as each day gets incrementally longer.  A Celtic ritual at this time is to light a candle  to invoke the light and say a prayer or blessing. In The catholic version called Candlemass,  candles were blessed, there was much feasting to be had, and the drab days of February suddenly seemed a little brighter. The Irish goddess Brighid is the keeper of the sacred flame, the guardian of home and hearth. To honor her, purification and cleaning are a wonderful way to get ready for the coming of Spring. In addition to fire, she is a goddess connected to inspiration and creativity. Brighid is known as one of the Celtic "triune" goddesses -- meaning that she is one and three simultaneously. The early Celts celebrated a purific
