New Moon Capricorn: Walk Your Talk

It's New Moon time again... a time to focus our way forward, set intentions, reflect on where we are and where we are going. The New Moon intentions we put out now will ripple out into the  new year. This is the time of New Year resolutions, which I don't generally ascribe to. .. but I do believe in setting intentions and visioning one's way forward.  Its time to think about what we want to manifest in 2017.

There is some seriously exciting  and unusual energy blasting at us at the time (see last post). Our imagination and vision can be tapped into in a big way.

Capricorn itself  is a more serious sign focused on achievement and concrete results.  Add Pluto nearby brings  to the New Moon and the result is intensity, power and magic. There is tension in the air via  Uranus Eris. .. discord dances with discontent.  All of this unsettling and destabilizing energy is linked to Mercury, planet of communication,  bringing unexpected and unusual thought processes into our sleep brains. Some  are seeing through the cracks of our lives, or of 'the system '... and considering leaps of faith (or leaps of destruction). Our thoughts can get out of control as this accelerating vibrational force pushes our mental boundaries to the breaking point. Some of it makes sense and some of it is pure paranoia .

Luckily Mercury is Retrograde,  slowing us down  a little so we can take stock before we jump forward. Pluto has us reflecting  on the past year with more insight and scrutiny than usual. How did we get here anyway? And why are we still here (while so many are leaving)? It's been such a strange and upsetting year and there's a lot to think about. Much has changed in rather drastic ways.

As our very thought processes become the subject of our inquiry,   we must begin to scrutinize  belief systems in general and ours in particular. We've got to find out what we really know (vs what we believe) if we are going to be able to navigate these crazy times. (such as: do I believe in my government? My job? My marriage? My friends? Am I settling for less? Do I fit in with consensus reality (what everybody says is true) ? Do I think the system is working? My relationship? My habits?  If not, what would I replace them with and how would I do that ? if not, why not? Leaving a situation  can happen too easily right now ...  then suddenly you are on your own and wondering what to do now.

I'm not saying you should go back to the status quo: in fact, I know you can't. Things have shifted too much. The recent past seems a long long way back.  The future is so uncertain so its one step ahead of the other.  That said, there is the possibility of a quantum leap. I'm not even sure what that looks like. I just know its there by the planets involved (Jupiter Uranus)

I do know there are truly exciting as well as disruptive energies about, and its not  always about peace and love.

So, as we enter 2017, shell shocked and weary, and  knowing there is a LOT going on, what will you hold in your  vision  that can manifest in a concrete way to help shift things in a more positive direction?

I am not trying to tell you what to think... I'm just describing the astrology of the moment. And  that's exactly the point. This lesson is about learning to think for yourself, getting clear, and not just regurgitating something you heard on BBC or CNN.  Or on some blog. This is a time of awakening. Time to BE the change you want to see in the world.I know thats become cliche',  but damn, its the truth.

So welcome this New Moon as the perfect  time to press the reset button. If something about this past year has not been working for you, you can now tap into the tremendous energy pouring down on us  to make a new start.

New Moment, New Choice.

You know you want to.

"Out with the Old, In with the New" : Winter Solstice Dec 21st 10:44 am UT

Please leave your email on link at top right of webpage  if you want to be notified of new posts. Or 'like' us on FB to get short daily updates (lower right).

Today is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and the longest in the Southern, as we enter a moment of pause between the year gone by, and the year to come.

This year's Winter Solstice occurs as Jupiter  (joy, generosity and expansion) opposes Uranus (awakening, innovation and surprise). This brings an atmosphere of synchronicity, prosperity and new possibilities; a welcome blessing at the end of what has been for many a very challenging year.

What those possibilities are, and how to tap into them is up to us.

Pluto/Mercury, Jupiter/Uranus, Neptune/Moon, Venus/Jupiter, Saturn/Sun ... so many powerful alignments are showing us that we have many choices, both positive and powerful.  There are forces at work here we may not understand, yet they are there to help us create the life we want. With power comes responsibility!

Please pause for a message from our sponsor: The Galactic Core

The Sun has just crossed opposite the centre of our galaxy. When the Sun links up with the Galactic Core  (27 degrees Sagittarius) it activates a deep inner longing to know our true destiny and purpose.  To get in touch with that core, we need to first let go of the false programing that erased our memory of who we really are and why we are here.

There has been much said in the past year about the need to examine our core beliefs.  Saturn in Sagittarius is asking us to really look at what we think and believe vs what we really know. A lot of stripping down has occurred requiring a willingness to become empty and still.

Which leads us to the Winter Solstice,  known as 'The Day the Sun Stands Still'.   This is a perfect time to empty ourselves and wait in the darkness to be filled.

The longest night of the year actually stays about the same until Dec 25th and then hurray! -  the days will ever so subtly begin to lengthen. Perhaps that is why we more commonly celebrate Christmas (the Return of the Light) on December 25th.

Yet long before Christianity put its mark on this celebration,  cultures all over the world (in the Northern Hemisphere) marked the Winter Solstice as the turning point, a moment to celebrate our planet's yearly journey around the Sun. The microcosm mirrors the macrocosm. As above, so below. Over the next four days,  as we hover in-between, it's good to take time to sit still and ponder our place in the universe.

And this year we have something extra special being added to the celebration. Jupiter and Uranus add  sparkle and synchronicity and a sense of unlimited possibilities.

“Due to this VERY favorable configuration involving the Sun, Jupiter, and Uranus, unique interactive benefits ... will bless those with planets anywhere near :
29 Sagittarius/Gemini through 1-5 Capricorn/Cancer, 7-11 Aquarius/Leo, 13-17 Pisces/Virgo, 19-23 Aries/Libra, and 25-29 Taurus/Scorpio.”           (http://www.aquariuspapers.com/)

All of us will feel this accelerated energy field in some way or another.  These powerful planetary lineups are pushing us to step outside our comfort zones like never before. Jupiter and Uranus are working synchronistically  to wake us up. Together they can trigger positive events as well as unexpected and sometimes disconcerting outcomes. This energy magnifies whatever it comes into contact with The ‘unexpected’ factor (Uranus plus Eris) has been throwing us for a loop all year,  and I suspect we ain’t seen nothing yet!

Yet despite some seemingly unwelcome outcomes we re seeing, it remains an exciting time of change and manifestation. What we focus on grows.

The key thing to remember is that what we align ourselves to, through what we focus on,  is what we will manifest. It's also good to remember that 90 % of our 'thinking' is unconscious. We may have to do some investigating to uncover the roots of our discontent. Pluto's current link to Mercury will help us dig deep as we reflect on the past year to understand what we are creating in our lives.

If you have had a brilliant year, you get to celebrate that! If you didn't, just more to learn.

A Solstice Ceremony: Make two lists: 1. Things you’d like to release from your life and 2. What you’d like to manifest. Light a candle or a fire.  Take a moment to feel gratitude for both, and for the universal life force energy that makes all things possible.  Then
bless each and  give  both to the fire.

As we begin to shift into a new perceptual dimension … where we are no longer limited by narrow belief systems and negative mental or emotional programs,  the purging and letting go will seem worth it.
And once we are clear, we need no longer be distracted by others confusion.

A lot of the crap that is coming to the surface right now and creating a majour backlash is just the old order fighting to maintain supremacy (either in ourself ... or in the world). If we cling to the old familiar programs,  as the polarity increases, whatever is not in harmony with the new energies will be brought out into the open more and more.

It’s not a pretty picture.

Yet we can choose what we focus on.

“The best way to get rid of evil is the make energetic progress in the good” (I Ching)

2017 will continue to amplify our awakening and force us to confront our thoughts and beliefs (good and bad), in order to help us to vision a new future.

2016 is definitely going out with a bang!

Take this  Solstice  moment to be still and to reflect on where you have been and where you are going.  Let Retrograde Mercury, ruler of our thoughts,  help you to reflect, review, rethink.. and renew.

You know you want to!

Solstice Blessings be upon you.

Full Moon in Gemini: Quantum Leap!

Full Moon in Gemini : Tues/Wed, Dec 13/14

The Moon is already looking pretty full tonight. It's in the category of 'Super Moon' ... closer proximity to the earth makes it look larger and brighter - although to be honest there seem to be so many super moons - that title is starting to lose its impact.   And actually, that's an important point. Information is blasted at us 24-7.   Some of it is true, and lots of it is false, and the stuff in between is just so much trivia. How do we know the difference?

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which rules the mind. How we think and communicate, as well as how we filter information,  is up for transformation. Our emotions affect what we let in, our biases influence our perception. This  last Full Moon of the year brings with it the possibility of a quantum shift.

A  much needed  blast of super charged positive energy   is headed our way thanks to the powerful Grand Trine - positive flow - between Moon, Jupiter and Uranus.  We can get distracted oh so easily. It's time to decide what we give our energy to.  This  Full Moon offers us a highly creative, deeply life affirming mental reboot.

As you think, so you sow. It's manifestation time!

We may  be hearing some new  information shortly that  increases our understanding of something important. We will have to decide if it is true or false.

At first, it might not feel so positive.  Saturn’s presence close to the Sun  hangs like a heavy blanket in the background;  fear, doubt, and negativity can keep us feeling down or defeated.  Neptune adds a layer of disillusionment and uncertainty. Chiron  brings deep vulnerability. No one trusts anyone anymore. Confusion abounds.  Yet these challenges force us to grow and therefore also bring the possibility of real change, which can be turned into untold possibilities.

At any Full Moon, relationships of all kinds are in focus. Its important to  recognize there is a  tension between the need for freedom and independence, and the equal urge to connect and merge with others. The yin/yang of the Full Moon will amp up that tension and then open the door to a third option.  Not 'either-or'…  but ...  'both-and'. No need to get caught up in polarizing dynamics. We are all in this together.

"Are we seeing ourselves in the mirror and not recognizing ourselves?
When we kill each other are we not killing ourselves?
When we rob each other do we not rob ourself?
... because you and you are you are my reflection." Prem Rawat

This  is the wake up necessary to get us to see more clearly.  Uranus/Eris continues to keep us on our toes via unsettling events, discord, surprises, unusual outcomes. With Jupiter involved, disappointments, conflicts, stand offs (Saturn opp Moon) can evolve unexpectedly into heart felt connections that bring remarkable breakthroughs (in that order). Of course, how you position yourself is what makes all the difference.

Jupiter and  Uranus  bring sudden and unexpected rewards. Yet the biggest reward may be to open our minds to new possibilities. Things don't have to go the way they have always gone.  The Moon is about emotions.  Powerful emotional adjustments ...  can lead to cognitive shifts ...  can lead to stepping out of the box... can lead to great good fortune. This Full Moon in  Gemini could turn our brains inside out (in a good way). Let it open the doors of perception.

It’s time for a quantum leap.

You know you want to!

Fulfilling our Destiny

Last week the asteroid Juno was exactly conjoined with the Sagittarius New Moon. That brought a focus on relationships ... what we attract in a life partner and how we seek to fill those needs.

Sagittarius is about our search for purpose and meaning in our life.

-->
"Today the Earth and the Sun align with the Great Attractor, the center of our local universe. The Great Attractor, associated with the Laniakea Supercluster, a pool of subatomic particles located in deep space. It’s so vast that it serves as the central feature of a cluster of 100,000 galaxies, including our own." Planet Waves

As the Sun aligns with the Great Attractor it activates our connection to the cosmos, and we feel an even stronger pull to  fulfill our destiny, whatever that may be. Deep down inside we know we are in a process of becoming who we were always meant to be. Recent changes have cleared the way for relationships that are in true alignment with our higher purpose.

All year we've been cleaning up a lot of stagnant energies and issues. So much has shifted and morphed in the process that we may not even recognize where we are at the moment.    As the dust begins to settle , we will be rewarded for cleaning up our 'stuff'  .... as new energy/people/situations begin to enter our lives.

It's not a passive process. You are the creator of your own reality! The best way to do that is to listen to your heart.

p.s. Beware of getting caught up in unreal fantasies. What we need is not always what we expect. Focus on aligning with your own inner core and everything  else will fall into place.

New Moon in Sagittarius: Hope Springs Eternal!

As always, if you want to be notified when new posts come out, leave your email on link at top right of webpage. Or you can 'like' our Facebook page (further down on right side) to get short n sweet daily updates.

The Sagittarius New Moon on Tuesday  November 29th is expansive, inspiring and full of surprises.  This positive energy field  can help us to line ourselves up with the cosmos; it tells us something exciting is waiting in the wings.

I don't have a crystal ball and I don't like to make predictions but I can say the obvious: that  the only way to go from here is up!!!  And after months of intensity and bizarreness,  we  use something positive and upbeat! This New Moon will give us a chance for a  reboot  ... time for something completely different (again).

The  joining of Sun and Moon  is called the 'Conjunctio';  the sacred union of masculine (Sun) and feminine (Moon)  which plants a seed for the coming month. This is an excellent time to set our intentions.

Sagittarius is the sign of the cosmic adventurer ,  the part of us that wants to expand and grow and learn and travel and... and... and!

Enthusiasm is in the air.

And after a month of the dark depths of Scorpio,  it feels good to be moving back into the light. We are less than a month from the winter solstice, where the days will begin to get longer. WooHoo!

Sagittarius, full of wisdom,  says 'learn from your mistakes'. Find a better way. As Pluto, Uranus and Eris continue to shake up our consensus reality there's an openning for something totally different. Synchronicity is all around. For some it may be about finding a new method of operating. Others may overhaul the old.  Part of this may be standing up for what you know is right (Mars in Aquarius) and not giving in to fear. This is about seeking  positive outcomes, no matter the circumstances.

When the going gets tough the tough get going!

I know all the problems are not going to magically disappear.  But we must not give in to avoidance or despair. Neptune’s effect on this New Moon can make us prey to escapism. There's also lots of room for  misconceptions as untruths continue pouring out at a mile a minute. Like so many websites dedicated to creating false news, our minds can lead us down the garden path; obfuscation abounds. Or you may just want to escape it all and run away to some Yoga retreat in the Himalayas; the beckon of distant shores has never been so strong.

Do be careful of
wishful thinking,  false imaginings, wistful longings. Today Mercury (thinking, communicating) joins serious Saturn,  so we must 'woman up' and deal with what's in front of us. But do let your imagination guide you in a positive way. There is much creativity in this New Moon.

All in all, Sagittarius is a truth teller. And although it can sometimes get stuck in 'lalala ...  my truth is better; I don't want to hear your truth'...  Saturn nearby insists we surrender our illusions and delusions and face the reality that is right in front of us.  At the same time, Sagittarius reminds us that everything is a matter of perspective.  This New Moon can broaden our horizon,  as it awakens the part of us that wants and seeks higher ground. Seek the long view. Suddenly the cup is half full - instead of half empty.

Despite recent endings, disappointments or losses, (Venus/Pluto) there is always hope.  It may not be looking like what you expected but that doesn't mean the story is over. Be careful not get stuck in the past. Those times are gone and ain’t nothing going to bring them back, yet there is always something to gain if we are willing to remain awake and alert.

Learn to weigh things, realistically. If you check yourself and find you are barking up the wrong tree, consider cutting your losses and finding a new tree. Because while your back is turned to focus on the wrong tree other opportunities are passing you by, you can be sure of that.”   Elsa  (Elsa Elsa.com)

When life goes low, Sagttarians aim high.

Let this New Moon give you the boost you have been looking for.  Radical change is in the air …  we may as well go with it.   Let this expansive, positive blast of Sagittarian fresh air blow your doubts away and show you  that silver lining.

And don't forget to be patient...  Rome wasn't built in a day.

The Answer is Blowing in the Wind.

Facebook link is lower down on right.

Over the past weekend, the Sun squared the Moon in Leo (tension) and both were interacting with the natal Pluto of anyone born mid to late 50's. This on top of Jupiter's aspects with Pluto/Uranus are amplifying global upheaval and change.

That gave many of us an extra  round of hyper-reactivity as we continue to grapple with the current crazy upheaval and world gone mad. These intense dynamics continue to  create internal/ external challenges and conflict,  and Sun/Pluto  adds obsessive compulsive tendencies to the mix (along with a tendency to resist to change).

"Be careful of indulging in extreme behavior right now. Issues of control can provoke conflicts with other people, or just difficulties in accepting some reality you may be resisting. "

Neptune in Pisces fills our dreams with sweet longings as the Moon sits opposite on the Collective Destiny Point (North Node) in Virgo. This triggers our deep need for meaning in a world gone mad, and an ache to find our way home.

There's a whisper of something forgotten, something lost, which is wistfully tugging at our hearts.
Yet this pull is actually coming from where? (hint: look inside)  'Home' may not be so far away.

"Home us where the heart is. "

This Moon says listen to the call, but be careful not to get sidetracked by distractions or the urge to escape. There's really no where to go. Virgo adds discernment so we don't lose our way in the fog.  It also reminds us that 'to serve is to rule.'

Despite the doom and gloom atmosphere, these creative tensions can bring rich rewards if we can direct them from a clear place. This takes effort...  it may be a bit like trying to steer a runaway train, but it can be done. We just need to 'own it'! Our intense reactions show a deep need/desire to find a way to cut through the BS.  And chances are good that need for self-transformation and regeneration is being shoved in your face right now, trying to get your  conscious attention.

"The true meaning of these events lies in their significance for your inner life. These events help you to understand and actualize something about your 'will to power' which is really about your desire to transform yourself to get nearer to your true spiritual path. "    Time Passages for Nov 21, 2016

Because this awakening  process may be a relatively unconscious desire on our part, the wake up call can be all the more difficult. Be careful what you wish for!

Or be more specific!
(we get what we ask for)   Discernment required!

We need to balance our dreaming and longing (Pisces) with our logic (Virgo).   On one side of the sky,  Neptune in Pisces fills our dreams with murmurings and  whispers. Something is calling us... pulling us. But there is doubt, hesitation. Are these voices to be trusted?

Illusions and delusions are rife. Planets like Moon or Neptune on the nodes can be portals/open gateways into new realms, new ideas, new ways of seeing/being.  Do you want to step through the looking glass?

So, to recap: the Moon on the North Node (direction society is heading)  stirs up our emotional need for purpose and meaning.  Emotional purification (Moon in Virgo) helps bring the  discernment we will need to move forward in the right direction. We may have a lot of 'stuff' that is polluting our hearts and minds; inherited prejudices, fears, preconceptions, assumptions. So much of what we think or feel has been fed to us.

Neptune on the South Node (what is passing away) in Pisces seems to be dissolving the very ground beneath our feet. Nothing feels real anymore amidst so much confusion and obfuscation. The more private  dissolving asks us to let go of anything (people, places, ideas)  that aren't really ours. So how do we know what to keep and what to let go of?  Virgo is helping us sort through the myriad layers to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Determining  what we are really feeling ... vs how we are reacting takes 'presence'. There's a difference between 'feeling' and 'reacting'. One is extrinsic (triggered by something outside of us) and one is intrinsic (our inner authentic self).   In the current charged atmosphere its easy to get them mixed up.  We get so easily manipulated ... by others, by the media, by our own inherited belief systems. We all think we 'know'!  Have you noticed how impossible it is to have an open discussion around politics these days. Everyone is so polarized and no one is listening to each other.
Maybe that's the best astrological advice for today: Listen!
Be still.  Clarify. Listen to your heart.

Listen to each other. Listen to nature.

"The answer is blowing in the wind.
