Approaching the Full Moon

As we approach Wednesday's Full Moon in Libra, there is a testiness in the air. This Full Moon is exactly opposite the warrior planet Mars, which has just recently moved into its home sign of Aries, amplifying its natural feistiness and bringing in some much needed fire to a recently very watery atmosphere. Many people are feeling woken up, stirred as Mars prompts us to 'get 'er done'!!

Mars  also just crossed over Uranus the awakener, and the resulting lightning bolt squared with  Pluto  (the destroyer)  gave many this  last week a major  jump start. There is more to come. This combo is /was quite intense and even potentially violent. Accidents and flare ups were happening all around me last week with this  impatient, explosive energy. The tension  is building again now, and will release in some powerful ways as the Full Moon peaks on Wednesday. We may see an increase of violent crime in the news.

So please take your time, go slow, stay present and focused.

Luckily, we have some help. As Mercury makes its way back through the PIsces, watery sign of the soul, it activates  our compassion and intuition, which will be useful here as a preventative measure. This remaining  Pisces influence reminds us to Trust, Accept. Allow. All in good time.

Also, as it retraces its steps, Mercury, has us going over stuff that got all mixed up and confused in the recent retrograde. Lost information may come to the fore, or  in the case of Pisces, lost dreams.   This will  make us more sensitive to the atmosphere... so be aware of a hyper sensitivity and trigger reactions.

The combination of Fire (Aries) and water (Pisces)  is steam (power) or a Rainbow (peace, reconciliation, creativity) Together they create a feeling of urgency and impatience to get that dream into manifestation.

All we have to do is apply some common sense (Saturn) while we let our enthusiasm (Jupiter) move us into positive action. Chiron adds a little vulnerability... what if it never happens?  What if I cant do it?  Doubts may arise as the internal pressure builds.

Pisces  says have faith.  Use positive affirmations to help reinforce your belief in yourself.
I can do this!! I am worthy!!

We are all sensitive to these energies in different ways.  A friend of mine witnessed several major blowouts this week at work and was a bit shaken. A sensitive Pissces, he tends to absorb what's going on around hi. Its easy to take things too personally.

I was explaining to him the tense astrology behind some of it. I told him that planetary energy hovers in the air (like the electrical charge that builds up in a storm) and then some people becomes the lightning rods. The charge has to discharge somewhere... and those with energies lining up with the tense aspects are the most likely to be conduits.

So in this case,  anyone with aspects in their personal charts that happen to be close to the same spot as Mars (12 degrees Aries) or Uranus (8 degrees Aries) or  Pluto (11 degrees Capricorn) ... or in similar degrees in signs that link to Aries or Capricorn (especially opposite or square...  so Libra, and Cancer for example) can become the lightning rod.  This  wake up shake up energy is the symbol of these times of powerful change and transformation, and none of us are exempt. Its time to let go of old patterns of behaviour and  start to vision a new way of doing things (Uranus in Aries).   Yet when push comes to shove, our old habitual responses tend to be activated (thats what Full Moons are for!!lol)

This Wednesday's Full Moon in Libra will set off the Mars, Uranus, Pluto tension...(aggression, revolution, rebellion, stand offs, etc) which again will activate  the confrontational and potential explosive dynamics we have seen dominate personal dynamics as well as global scene.  Full Moon manifest on the emotional plane, plus, because  the Sun (masculine, ego, yang) and Moon (feminine, feeling, yin) oppose each other, the tensions are also likely to show up in our relationships (personal, work, family).

Venus and Sun together with Uranus in fiery Aries can activate a need for freedom and a rebellion against the control, authority, etc of systems symbolized by Pluto in Capricorn.

So after a month of good sweet loving vibes from so many planets in Pisces, things are heating up and the first signs of Spring are in the air. Just be aware that this powerful Full Moon may amplify  our impatience, our egos, our hurt feelings etc.

Those who  become the lightning rods can use this energy  to step forward and take the initiative or provide leadership. And if, despite our best efforts, we blow up or act out more aggressively than we intended... just know that this too shall pass.  This is all excellent for those who normally hold back or avoid speaking up as long as you take care not to blow people out of the water...(those still floating in their Pisces dream lol)

Libra always seeks balance and will find a way to redress issues and seek fairness...

.... if you give her a chance.

Be aware and take extra care...

p.s. I  am learning (ever so slowly) that foreknowledge of events or tendencies  doesn't necessarily prevent them.  It can be most helpful to understand that we are part of nature and are thus effected by our environment. When a tense atmosphere surrounds us, it is very important to GROUND our energy. Stay centered. Be solid. Find what is solid or rooted root so you stay connected into the earth. Haha just remembered al the warning as a kid not to stand under a tree in a lightning storm. I guess I will have to let you figure out what works for you.

And let that sweet Libra love be a balm for anything that tries to throw you off balance.

Happy Full Moon!

Heal and Release

"Since the tapestry of all time has already been woven, everything I could ever want to happen in my life already exists in that infinite, nonphysical plane. My only task it to expand my earthly self enough to let it into this realm. So if there's something I desire, the idea isn't to go out and get it, but to expand my own consciousness to allow universal energy to bring it into my reality here.

Pursuing what I desire only reinforces separation, whereas allowing means realising that since we're all One and everything is connected, that which I desire is already mine." ~ Anita Moorjani from Dying To Be Me

In the Northern Hemisphere, spring is in the air. Or was. One day its warm and balmy, the next it is cold and wintery. The current Astrology reflects this in between state of things. We are moving toward the Spring Equinox on March 20th, when the Sun crosses what is called the Aries point... the beginning of a new Astrological year.

Mars is the planet of desire and action. As it moves toward Uranus in Aries, there’s a sense of restless impatience and the urge to move … fast. We want what we want and we want it NOW!

Yet  at this moment, the Sun, Venus and Mercury are still visiting with Neptune, and Chiron in watery Pisces,  telling us that everything we seek lies within.Because Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, there may be a bit more clearing to do before we are totally ready to move forward. There’s a creative tension here that we can use to our advantage or let it wreak havoc on our nerves.  Healing waters are needed.

The remaining  Pisces energy is calling us to heal and release. It is in fact the motto for this whole year,  yet is particularly in play at this moment as we sit on the cusp of the change of seasons.

Mercury’s recent retrograde in Pisces has had us on an internal quest. Mercury is about to turn direct (Sunday) so its energies are amplified. This transition from backward to forward is called the 'Mercury Storm', and the usual crazy effects of Mercury Retrograde tend to be amplified at this time. Best wait a few days before you sign agreements, make firm commitments etc. Lost information could come to light at this time which could influence your choices, so try and hang in there just a bit longer.

Confusion is another manifestation of this strange whirling energy field.

As it turns direct, Mercury lines up exactly with Neptune (ruler of Pisces, ruler of the seas), blurring our logic and linear thinking. Due to Neptune's influence, there’s a good chance that  whatever bubbles up at this time (information wise) will be of a spiritual, intuitive or creative nature. Or just a little  bit crazy!

Try to keep in mind that this is the area of the zodiac that deals with universal energy and is not so much about day-to-day details. If you want to decipher it, you will have to speak the language of the soul, which comes in the form of dream imagery, symbolism, music, and is most easily accessed in stillness.

That said, the combination of the newly energised Mars energy with this remaining Pisces element could have us all dancing in the streets. Or alone in the living room when no one is watching.  Let the rhythms of sound carry you into ecstatic union… with you.

Around the time of this particular Mercury moving direct, dodgy situations or information could soon come to light. Neptune and Pisces can create veils of illusions; we are more easily taken in when our vision is blurred; another good reason to wait a few days before you commit to anything of great import.

This continues to be an especially potent time to access our creative stream… let it move through you and out into the world.

I like the quote above in its recommendation to bring our larger, more expansive soul self into play as we move through this earth realm. When we harmonise with our true self, the possibilities are endless.

And Mars in Aries is chomping at the bit to get going. Go ahead and do what you have to do, yet be conscious that delays and rerouting will still be in effect. Try to be patient for just a bit longer. As more planets shift into Aries we will have to go ahead we seek…and it will be mock speed forward.

For now, let this strong urge to take initiative activate the last steps of preparation. And she says in the above quote, to attain what we desire sometimes means letting go of it. I know it’s a kind of conundrum, yet at its heart this contains a great truth.

All the internal work we are doing pays itself forward, in that if we can become more aware, more conscious of what drives us from within, then we can tap into the immense potential and creativity of soul that exists at our core, and we can truly manifest our hearts desire in this world.

Oh and BTW: that may not be the same as your ego’s desire. We think we want this and that… and so much of what we think we want is conditioned by media, by our social conditioning, by a sense of lack etc.  What if we knew we were abundant beyond belief?  What if everything we are seeking is already inside of us (in essence)?

This weekend (and always), it is  time to listen to your heart to discover what it is you truly want.

Seek and ye shall find
Ask and it shall be given
Knock and the door shall be opened unto you.

Pisces New Moon: Inner Transformation

Today is the New Moon in Pisces. One last big blast of this wonderful, graceful, magical fluidity before we begin to shift toward fiery Aries and the Spring Equinox…

As you probably know by now, a New Moon is a seedtime, it carries energy forward, so the vision and intention you set now will reverberate out into your life for weeks to come. We can take the  fluid sense of possibility and imagination that is floating around us right now and dream it forward. Those of you with Sun, Moon or Ascendant, or other strong Pisces/Neptune  placements … so many planets in your sign are helping you make your dreams real. This is your time.

All Pisces are being energized, enlivened, inspired. This is a chance to find your place in the world; to bring your special magic to planet earth. We need dreamers, artists, healers, poets. Without you the world is a dry , dry place.

The current backward motion of Mercury in Pisces increases the introspective element,  bringing  us into contact with our inner reflection as we follow the an urge to turn within.  Missing information often arises during a retrograde, especially as  Mercury turns direct.

In this case that information may be more like access to deep spiritual feelings and longing that have been buried till now.  Memories of past lives could turn up, and creative flashes normally hard to grab will feel more tangible.  Nightmares are also part of the watery depths; monsters lurk in the shadows and its easy to get lost here.

Saturn's positive presence  provides us with some solidity and form ... a boat perhaps to sail these inner seas. Find your inner compass (and support if you need it) all will be well.

Mercury will turn direct again on March 17th and slowly, slowly, as it retraces it steps back through Pisces, the veils will again return to our eyes as we focus once more on more on the outer world of mundane tasks and activities.

Mars, planet of action, is about to leave the watery realm and enter his own sign of Aries, happy to shake off the wet blanket that (it feels) has been holding it back. Mars is our outgoing, fiery energy that we use to move forward to achieve our desires. It doesn’t feel as powerful in water, and tends to go all passive aggressive when it can’t find  clear, direct expression. A watery Mars brings out our compassion and caring for others, and can be a saviour or a martyr in this sign.

Once in its own sign of Aries, the warrior planet gets back it self-centered drive. Things will quickly accelerate as it then bumps into Uranus, blasting things forward at mock speed. This is dynamic, exciting energy, matched with the  extraordinary vision of Uranus, will bring new impetus and oomph as we enter the new astrological cycle of the Spring Equinox.

Till then, we have a week or so left to bask just a bit longer in the luxurious, dreamy glow of Pisces. The intuitive, creative floodgates are open wide right now… let your boat sail through. Colours, sounds, vibrations that move deep within us are waiting to be tapped for expression. Allow your imagination to lead you. Saturn and Pluto help  give our creativity power, form and expression. Venus and Neptune fill us with inspiration and love. This is love that transcends, that redeems, that blesses.

Feel it, breath it, dive deep into it. There is kindness, beauty and compassion here. There is grace.

All Things Point to Pisces

Note:I was away over the weekend so am catching up here re the continuing abundance of planets in Pisces (for more on this please see recent posts ).

Today Venus (love, relatedness, value)  and Chiron   (the wounded healer), sitting exactly in the same degree in watery Pisces,  may bring out our vulnerabilities, our fears,  that say ...
"perhaps I am not loveable; I am not sure of my true value;  maybe I will never find my way home..."

Chiron is about finding our inner healer, and its presence can help transform  those delicate parts of us, even as it triggers them.  Sometimes we have to know what ails us to get the medicine we need.

So little angel, if you  feel a bit touchy right now, a bit out of sorts,  know that healing is at hand. When those feelings wash over us, rather than indulge in them, or repress  or avoid them ... if we can just sit with what we feel, observe, accept (for now), even talk to those parts ... we can learn a lot.

For instance, when a sense of defeat comes up, sometimes I can identify the thought/belief behind it.   "I am never going to ever feel well again..." Maybe underneath is a deeper one,  such as  "I dont deserve to be happy, healthy, loved. "

Then ask:  Is this True? ...

Am I really, truly unlovable?   Do I really need to  to prove my worth?       Do I deserve love?

If the answer is no to the last one above... (which, BTW, is not true ) then where did I get this belief/feeling?

Listen to what messages your unconscious is repeating to you. Watch/feel/write/draw what comes up.
And, ask again:  Is this true?
Is this really, really True?

"Who would I be, what would I feel, if I did not believe that statement?"

And through it all: Breathe deep. Feel!

(this process is courtesy of Katie Byron. She calls it enquiry. I also do EFT meridian tapping as I do the enquiry process, which helps shift things energetically. For more on this go to www.emofree.com)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”    Marianne Williamson, (inspired by The Course in Miracles)

Part 2
Saturn in Scorpio is also part of the energy that is affecting us right now. It sits in an awkward tension with Jupiter in Gemini, adding to the current discomfort, while at the same time providing some elucidation around what we are feeling. It can show us how  those negative voices in our heads (Chiron/Mercury) and our feelings of limitation (Saturn)  rooted  deep in our subconscious (Scorpio),  come from our false belief systems (Gemini, Sagitarius).

Mercury currently retrograde in Pisces acts like a  pause button.  Its backward motion  slows down our busy, busy mind and communication,  allowing us to reflect and reconnect to our deepest, unlimited self.

Pisces, representing the boundless sea of life, has no borders, no shores, it is an endless transparent field of moving, flowing energy.   That can be a bit scary for we who dwell in this material world of form and function.  'No boundaries'  is a challenging place for the ego to enter.  In fact, it cannot enter there.  Neptune (ruler of Pisces) dissolves the ego (limited self) so we can enter with our heart and soul.

(dont worry, it will still be there when you came back... lol)

And remember, we all  originated from, and will return to, that infinite ocean one day. Yet we don't have to wait, or leave this world to feel it.  That source is always inside of us....  breathing us, keeping us alive.

When love (Venus) operates at its highest frequency, it calls us to that place, and Pisces provides  the perfect environment for  higher love to blossom.

Venus    Love
+ Pisces    Universal Source Energy   =    Universal Love!!’

Venus in Pisces says: "Let go of the shore of limitations.  You are more than you ever imagined. You are love!"

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

But where there are prophecies, they will cease;
where there are tongues, they will be stilled;
where there is worldly knowledge, it will pass away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears….  Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.

 Now, I know in part;
Then, I shall know fully,  even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love."

                                      (Paul to Corinthians, 13)
