Drink from the Well

Last week we had a dynamic start to the new astrological year with the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Uranus lining up in Aries: “ The intentions we put out at this New Moon have so much ability to manifest its almost scary.” This was back-grounded by the building tension of the Pluto/Uranus Square, and stabilized at the same time by a Grand Trine in earth plus the now fading but very lovely Venus/Jupiter conjunction. That sweet combo is separating now but has just been activated one last time by the Moon in Taurus. The earth trine is still in place with Mars, Pluto and Jupiter connecting to help us actualize and make concrete our intentions and plans. That is if Mars or Mercury retrograde don’t manage to scupper those attempts. Meanwhile, this coming Thurs and Friday we will get a kick start to the Uranus Pluto showdown when the Sun in Aries moves into exact square with  Pluto,  then the next day hits the spot Uranus occupies, this while both are simultaneously sq

A Spring Re- awakening

This coming Tues March 20th is the Spring Equinox … the midpoint between the winter and summer solstices, when day and night are equal to each other all over the globe. It's  the first day of spring. Yippee! In the northern hemisphere, where I live, this is the time when everything begins anew and there is a powerful impetus for forward motion. To add some juice to that impetus, this year Uranus is sitting in the early degrees of Aries, and Mercury is there (albeit going backward) as well. Two days after the Spring Equinox we have the Sun/Moon conjunction which is the New Moon. This combination will join Mercury and Uranus around what is called the Aries point, which is a significant and highly charged spot on the zodiac wheel. Right now  Mars is retrograde in Virgo (details, organization and health), Saturn is retrograde in Libra (relationships) and now Mercury  going backward in Aries, the sign of initiative and forward motion (ruled by Mars, which is backward in Vi

Full Moon in Virgo

In this chart (www.astro.com) you can see a beautiful Grand Trine (a triangle) between the Full Moon and Mars in Virgo, Jupiter/Venus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. For a few days there will be a sense of stability and blessing, despite   testy feelings hovering around the perimeter (the calm before the storm?) A Full Moon is the peak of the lunar cycle. In Virgo, it sits opposite the Sun in Pisces, the last Sign of the zodiac wheel, bringing a sense of completion or culmination to the zodiac year. Spring is just around the corner (in the Northern hemisphere at least) and we are going to be heading into some rather intense astrological weather. It’s a good time to check the sails and mend the nets before heading out to sea. Or, if you can’t relate to watery metaphors, a chance to see where you are standing now, in relation to where you were at this time last year? Do you know where you are now…or where you are heading? This is the last bit of pre
