Full Moon coming up in Scorpio

There is something worth seeing in the skies right now. At the beginning of May, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus were all close together in the sign of Aries. It’s rather rare to see so many planets that close together in the sky. When conjunct like this, their energies combine and increase each other’s potency, and we get a special emphasis of the sign they are in.

Right now several are sitting at the end of Aries and moving into trine with Pluto in Capricorn. This trine stabilizes what has been a very rocky and tumultuous month with so many planets in fiery Aries. Pluto gives depth and endurance to our thoughts and efforts…it’s a good time to think big and get real.

Being so close to the Sun, they were not visible during the day, but if you get up just before the sunrise you can see Mercury Venus and Jupiter on the horizon just before the Sun rises. See it here:

A sextile to Neptune and Chiron in Pisces brings out our vulnerability as well as our compassion.
A day to actually do something about the suffering you see (in yourself or others)

Love the one your with.

This cluster will slowly move one by one into Taurus, and as they regroup there we will get an increased focus on the sign of the Bull. We are moving from a powerful and fiery Aries kick in the butt to an chance to earth and ground our ideas, plans and dreams.

Taureans are slow to move, slow to anger, slow to do just about everything; but when they get going…watch out. That slow simmer can break out a full boil once the momentum has reached critical point.  Wave a red flag and you will see just how fast a Taurian can get angry. Mars now in Taurus is that bull charging at you in full speed.

A Taurus may be slow to approach, but when their love gets going there’s no stopping him or her. They make great lovers; tactile tenderness combined with intense sensuality and passion. It just takes them time to work up to it.

The Full Mooncoming up on Tuesday in Taurus opposite sign Scorpio, will be just the trigger they/we need to get those passions boiling. With both Sun and Moon in a tense T-square to Chiron and Neptune in Pisces…just be careful to protect your heart.

Taurus is also about what we value…what we collect…what makes us feel secure. That may be money, that may be love    (both are connected to Venus…ruler of Taurus...Venus rules both Libra and Taurus…some feel a new planet will be assigned here in the future)  . For now…think of Taurus as the earthy, sensual aspect and Libra as the airy ideal aspect of love and relating)

For today, be aware that the Moon is conjunct Saturn in Libra, opposite Mercury in Aries, which means there is something to say to someone significant that is being held back. This may be blurted out or remain forever unsaid. Moon in Libra wants, needs stability and balance…and Aries impetuousness must be strong indeed to overcome this Moon’s need of harmony combined with Saturn’s restraining influence.

So ...more lessons on love and relating are coming our way.

"Then said Almitra, "Speak to us of Love."

And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them. And with a great voice he said:

When love beckons to you follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you.
Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth. Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.

He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;

And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep,
 but not all of your tears.

Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love. When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, I am in the heart of God."

And think not you can direct the course of love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.
Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself.

But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:

To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart
and a song of praise upon your lips. "
